ooh I once saw a daschund bite a woman on the nose, believe it or not... he was a sweet looking, tiny dog who belonged to a bar owner and was allowed free run of the pub - despite the fact that he was a snappy, grumpy little beggar, masquerading as a cute little dog!!!

One passing lady was fooled by his diminutive size and 'cute' appearance and bent down to fuss him - he launched himself at her face and snapped her nose....

Most of the staffies I have met have been soft, submissive, docile lumps towards humans - certainly, none have been as reactive as that daschund!

However, I do wish people would stop breeding them indiscriminately, there are far too many staffies than there are homes for already.

A thick skin is needed,i have a rottweiler.she is 8,have had her since she was 9wks old.we have two children one of nearly 5 and one of 2 and not once has she shown any bad sign of behaviour around anyone.she is such a softie.i trust her but wouldnt ever leave my kids alone as u can never be 100% sure.my eldest used to climb all over her when she was crawling and once she had enough she would just skulk off into another room.i was walking round our local lakes a few years back,little one in pram and dog off the lead,she ignores other dogs and humans she just loves to be out sniffing.a couple came towards us with a child and i called my dog back to me,i then got a huge mouthful of abuse and swore at saying she should be on a lead she is dangerous.i couldnt believe it,it was clear i had a child under 2 in a pushchair did he really think i was that stupid to have a bad dog aound my child.annoyed me somewhat but u do have to have a thick skin.i sometimes go the vets and hear people saying to there kids come sit here by me dont go over there when its clear my kids are with me.stupid ignorant people thats all they are.any dog is dangerous and if u google most dangerous u will see what they class as one,even a dalmation comes up on the list.its how the dog is bought up

this is my baby,i have been asked if she is full breed which she is,she is just small as she was runt of the litter she is 6 stone though so heavy lol
