the 'funniest' thing about that is that they'd be looking down on the staffy but shar pei's aren't exactly the most placid dogs.

I have a shar pei and she's the softest lump going :D
OP I had the same problem as you when we got her as people know the breed round here as Chinese Fighting Dog
people crossed the street and veered off the footpaths when they saw her coming!

We've been to training classes and also had a personal trainer as she is my sons assistance dog and have worked very hard to make her a good canine citizen.

I think you need to enjoy your dog and hopefully with good training she will be a smashing example of her breed and a great ambassador.

Awww, she's beautiful - lovely colouring.

I volunteer at a dog rescue centre and hadn't met many Staffies before, but I love them now. The only dogs that have ever tried to take a nip at me have been JRTs. The Staffies all seem to love people, although some are not keen on other dogs (due to previous owners not socialising them as pups) and need to be muzzled when out and about which is a shame, but not the dogs fault.

If you can, try to take Molly to puppy socialisation classes so she can make friends with other dogs (and show other dog owners that Staffies are not all bad!).

OP, you're very lucky, she's absolutely beautiful. My bloke knows I'm looking at pictures of puppies because I'm sat here cooing like a maniac. When I'm looking at pictures of kittens I'm usually cooing and giggling lol.

She's already getting you housetrained I see. Blankets on laps, cuddles on the floor, big comfy bed in her crate. So far, I think you're doing everything right.

And OMG, those ears. I don't think I'd ever get fed up of stroking them.

Off to look at kittens now :-) Give Molly a great big cuddle from me x x x
Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)

op, just looked at your pics she is so sweet. I too own a staffie and can completely understand how fed up you are. I was wary of the breed myself before we got our wee Zoe, but I have to say she has been the best dog I have owned and has the most fantastic little character, so ignore others and enjoy your staffie, she will bring you endless hours of pleasure.

Gorgeous colouring. I like the brindle colouring too, but they are all good :)

THANK YOU all for your kind words re Molly, it really made me :D!!!

Shes beautiful but i would say that shes mine lol! Oh yes as soon as she sees a empty lap shes in it for a snuggle!

She misses the training course for socilisation this term as she wont have had her injections but we will be on the one in Jan, she will be 5 months...is that too late or is that ok? She will be around a couple of dogs, his mum has two and my uncle has a irish staff so we will introduce them as soon as we can...just hope that 5 months is still plenty of time for the training and getting to know alot of other dogs!

I totally know what you are saying about her ears i love them! I cant leave them alone and its so cute when you tickle them and she flicks them!

Thanks again for your support, its very much appreciated!
