Yes I have been pestered by this number & the chap (when I first spoke to him) was charming & happy. However, when he passed me over to his manager to 'confirm' all that he had told me, his manager then tried to get me to give my bank details. I refused & he got very cocky & asked if I was worried about giving such info over the phone. I said yes & hung up. They have been pestering me ever since0

I've been receiving these calls for the past two weeks. Luckily I was answering the door when the first one called and so I had a missed call. I didn't recognise the number so did a search on-line. So glad I did! Thanks to so many people writing about it, I was prepared.
I can't block on my phone so I put it under a contact 'SCAM LOTTO' so every time they call I see that before answering and let it ring off to missed calls.
I think they've tried six times at different times of the day. I wonder how long they will try before giving up?
Hope this helps someone else too0 -
Thanks for the info, just missed a call from them, was in the little girls room;)
Will block this number from now on.
Thanks for the headsup."Isn't it nice to think that tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it yet?" - Lucy Maud Montgomery :hello:
:T:jThank you to all the competition posters, you are all brilliant! :j:T0 -
Just had a call from 02070597699
Apparently I had entered a competition to win an I-pad an Audi A3 or £10,000! All they needed to do was verify my details. After asking what detail they needed to verify, after all they had my name and phone number, the guy just repeated his opening blurb! So I said 'ok' and he repeated it again! Well with all the laughing and joking going on in the background I just said 'this is a wind up' and hung up. Well as I'm a bit bolshie myself I called the number back and asked what it was all about. Guess what? Same blurb! So I asked the guy if he was trying to sell me something to which they replied 'well... There will be an opportunity for you once we have verified all of your details' so I just replied that I never buy via cold call and hung up. So glad I did. Please be aware of this scam and tell anyone vulnerable you know not to give out their details over the phone even when a shiny new Audi A3 is used as bait!0 -
Is this linked to itv.com?? It's the only competition I've entered recently using my mobile number and I've just had a missed call from this number! I didn't answer as I didn't recognise it so googled and found this thread!“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0

I've had 5 missed calls from them in the last few days. I've instinctively ignored them even though I've applied for lots of jobs lately and waiting for phone calls, but an '020' number is just suspicious.
I did have to 'reject' one of the calls as it rang while I was in hospital and I didn't want it to keep ringing, so now I guess they know there's someone at the end of their number dialled.
Is there anyway of barring this caller from my mobile phone?
*EDIT* just found this link for Samsung Galaxy, to Auto Reject calls

i had a phone call from them today and yesterday both times they said they was called udtv or uktv or something like that, again like others they just mumble it so you are unsure of thier name. they said i had entered a draw for 10k or ipad, yesterday i couldn't be doing with it and just told them straight away you are wasting my time and she didnt argue but today i gave them the benefit of doubt (wish i hadnt) and let her carry on talking but as soon she said about lotto i knew for definite that it was a scam had emails like this before so knew exactly what they were all about and said again you are wasting my time, you are a scam and to take my number off. its a shame because the internet can be useful in so many ways but then you never know who or what to trust because of people like this or worse when imitating a genuine company :mad:0
