I take it all back. Oldnotwiser and Bobajob 1966 aren't having an affair - I think they're married!!!"There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0

It comes across that you are more interested in your inheritance than your parents having the best in their older years. That might not be true - but it is what your posts imply.
My day will come again means that I will have my life back again one day once I have fulfilled my duty as a daughter. Where did I say that I hope it's sooner rather than later? How much do you know about what I do on a daily basis in order to maintain the quality of their lives?
Do you have any perception of how difficult that is after being a stay at home mum for more than half my life, having supported a 'banker' in his career, and then being left caring after divorce? Unfortunate chain of events, but we are sent no more than we can handle (apparently).
Does nobody realise that this website is nothing more than what the New World Order want- to divide and conquer!0 -

I am not aware that anyone has quoted you as saying that?
We can only form an opinion on what you say, and you have given some very strong opinions on the care v. inheritance argument. If you state so vehemently that your parents capital should be for inheritance and not for their care, what do you expect people to think?0 -

Fair enough, guess I'm in a fortunate position re timing in that I can stay here and look after them
Means my life is on hold though, and that's difficult at times0 -

It's equally true to say that if the previous govt had used this govt's method of indexing the state pension, then the state pension would be considerably higher than it is now. If you want to score party political points.
We're now in a bit of an unusual situation where inflation is higher than wage rises. In the longer term the change to the method of calculation is likely to benefit pensioners.0 -

Yes. But the rate of the increase depends on the inflation rate for September the previous year. It's this rate which has just been published....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Hope you've got that tin hat to hand.
Do you have a membership card for the International Zionist Conspiracy, or did the lizards steal it?...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
