Morning ladies, very chilly this morning.
Back really hurts today, overdid it just a little yesterday so slowly slowly today. Washing on the line , bathroom cleaned again. Why do people leave toothpaste in the basin . Paperwork put away or shredded. phonecalls all made. Have to go to the drs this afternoon, for another set of blood tests, to check my aneamia (sp) I have real trouble with iron tablets and am very aneamic so get checked every 4-6 weeks eventually I think I will end up having a blood transfusion according to my gp. Really looking forward to that;). Where it has been windy here on and off over the past couple of weeks my sky dish has been knocked slightly out of place, some channels are fine but others are fuzzy so my brother is going to go up his ladders and put it back to where it should be (he use to be a sky engineer) for me. Would have cost a fortune if I had got sky out to do it. Dinner is chicken casserole with mash and cabbage , proper food for a cold day. Smells lovely .
Right thats me off to finish the budgetting for the next couple of months. Hope everyone is well, hugs to all:)

  • Morning all,

Sounds like everyone is very busy today already!

Uolypool - I think sky come for free for faults like that - they came to sort mine out once when the show had shifted it. At least your brother doing it means you dont have to wait in ALL DAY though - or hold on the phone forever whilst they sort it out!

Ive got a load of washing in with one waiting to go in when I get back from work. Roast chicken tonight with new pots and veg - lovely!

Im still doing my Christmas planning - Im going to do some at lunchtime which will stop me from spending! Im almost there with my plans of what to get for people so I will be prepared for my shopping trip in early November. It would be lovely to get it all done before December but I dont normally manage that!

I forced myself to pay a bit off my credit card - I really wanted to keep the money for Christmas presents but I know the right thing to do is pay it off the card so I compromised with myself and paid some off and kept some - the conversations we have with ourselves about these things!

Tonight will be spent food planning and writing the weekly shopping list. We need to get the freezers down ready for Christmas so the plan is to do the meal plan from the food we have and then just shop for veg etc.

Anyway, I am rambling now so I will go! I will pop back for a read later.

    Have a great day everyone.

  • Good Morning..

It's icy cold here but sunny at the same time so washing on the line, another load in and bm on. Have made beds and tidied breakfast mess and a little general tidy. Just having a coffee now before I pop into town for a few bits.

Just checked my ebay, lots of bids and even more watchers with 3 days to go on a lot of it :T Hopefully there will be a big bidding war at the end and an even bigger amount in my bank account :j
I won a bid on a big fleecy jumper for DD last night, I usually wouldn't have paid the £8 that I did but I HAD to beat the other bidder :rotfl: she kept outbidding me so i waited until 8 secs lol and I won!!!!

Also highlight of my day, I managed to bag a free haircut and colour of my choice :j It was advertised on facebook locally, they were only looking for 4 models so I was well chuffed. My hair is shocking atm due to low funds so will be a lovely treat. The lady seemed lovely also, said I could bring DD along and she will have a look at her HUGE and WILD curly locks :rotfl:

Nothing major for tea as DD is at her dad's today.

Have a great day all, hope all are healthy and well xxx

Hi peeps. Another long lie in today - don't normally get one as dog wakes me about 0800 for a walk/to tell me the postman has arrived, but DH has taken him out first thing for the past couple of days so I can catch up on sleep. Can anyone say 'Awwww':T

OS wise - currently cooking a 'use up tired looking veg' curry/chilli for DH for dinner tonight. My stomach still a bit dodgy so I'll probably have some form of eggs.

    Have a good day all.

Are you getting any compo from them for cancelling your card

Just went into the bank and they tried to tell my i can't pay my bills there! I had a little bit of a hissy fit:o, which resulted in the manager changing his mind and paying my bills for me without a charge ;)

was on the phone for so long last night, so need to persue the complaints procedure today.

If you know who the culprit is, maybe they should be the one cleaning the bathroom??;)

Bloomin' cold in Concrete Cow Country today.... where are my hot flushes when I need 'em?:D

Meg's been such a good girl today, and eaten up all her breakfast without prompting. Personally, I think she's finding the "working dog" biscuits a bit difficult to crunch - older dogs can get tooth problems - but I can only feed her what her owners have sent, so not a lot I can do, really. She has some of said biscuits with a couple of forks full of tinned food, twice daily.

She wouldn't settle last night, so I relented and let her lie on the Chinese rug in the bedroom - she's only here til Saturday, and if it means she gets a reasonable night, I don't really mind her in there. Bless her, she's 15 years old, and very doddery on her legs, though thankfully she can get in and out of the back door alright, because she's waaaay to heavy for me to try and lift.

OS wise - I shall have to try and do a clean of the lounge (as per Flylady list) but will have to be very careful as my left shoulder is so very painful; can't even move it without it really hurting.:( Thankfully, all the hoovering's already done for this week (one of the tasks Mr LW does at the weekend) so I don't have to battle with the Dyson.:o

Morning Kezlou and all that follow.......

if the following is not suitable for the daily board then I'll move it but I have to say that today is a great day here!! After almost 5 1/2 years....1940 days .....Gilad Shalit is on his way home!!......Have been up for a couple of hours watching tv and waiting to see that he finally makes it home!!!

I totally agree with you. I have been following on TV too! I often pray for Israel.

Feeling very tired today so not planning on doing much. Will make DD & DS beds. Then rest until it is time to make tea. Tea tonight will be left over roast pork with mashed pots and veg. Probably going to visit friends tonight.

My computer driving me nuts today - very sluggish, a bit like its operator. My head is buzzing with all I want to do and organise, but my body is glued to the sofa. However, I have knitted half a blanket for one of my poor homeless dogs.
HM soup for lunch and a couple of rather nice pork chops are defrosting for tea.
The weather is bright and sunny again after a wild night. I SHOULD be out in the garden working while it's dry, but my inner child is bawling,"DON'T WANT TO".
JackieO good news about the blood clots. Hope the Dr can sort out some good meds. Brilliant idea for the 21st. It's difficult these days to find a treat or special gift that they don't already have.
Mollie - good luck tomorrow, you know we will all be thinking of you.
    Redruby- attagirl!

Off to have my soup and try to make this p.m. more productive. May pop in later.
    Love to all.

We went to Hemel today and got some bits in Marks and Sparks for the old ladies that we keep an eye on plus a few pressies for MIL.
Went into Robert Dyas and got a load of 60w light bulbs before they disappear ( I hate the energy saving ones, they are too dim and are more polluting (filled with mercury) than the old style filament ones especially when you are visually impaired  )so much for Cameron cutting back on Mercury in this country.

Shalva I have been watching as well, what a wonderful outcome to such a long ordeal :T.
