Morning folks, raining, windy and a tad on the chilly side today! I think the drying screen will become a permanent feature in this house over the next six months - could class it as a modern work of art aptly named 'hinging aboot cause its pi**ing down' LOL!
Not much doing today, starting at back of 8, until half five then picking up dgs, but dd1 will have the tea made - think its sausage casserole - unfortunately no liver though :-(, as she will not buy, cook, or eat 'that stuff'. Once dgs is in his bed at back of 7 knitting will be rattling away - I am like a thing possessed with it just now, but really want to get this project finished before the crochet stuff I bought from ebay arrives, or it might not get finished!
have a good day and ((hugs)) to oanyone in need,

    Suzy

    Good morning, all.

Shalva - what a day it will be for you!

    Jackie0 - that's a fantastic present; I bet he'll really appreciate it!

Well, I hate to say it as it's so cold in the UK, but here it's a lovely start to the day. Now that I've finally finished all the laundry from the holiday home, I can concentrate on getting ours out on the line. Mind you, the forecast is for a cold spelll starting tomorrow, so I'm not going to get too complacent!

Chores today include baking, the dreaded ironing, and a whizz round with the vacuum cleaner.

Dinner tonight will be salad with some quiche and pototoes, and pudding will, hopefully, be poached pears (one of Nigel Slater's recipes) and icecream with, if I can find a recipe, chocolate sauce.

Well, that's all to report at the moment. Will catch up later; hope you all have a good day.

Candy, have a hug my darling, I know how much you miss him, have a special day with little Boo, it wont hurt you to have a little cry if you need to xxx

Shalva, that poor young man and his family, I hope all goes well for them xx

    Morning all,

Been raining all night here, and blowing a gale, seems to be brightening up now thought, not enough washing to put a wash on, its strange not having the back ground noise.

Need to do my paid for office work this morning, then a quick tidy round, prep the dinner, then I have to take dd to an appointment at the bank, as she wants to open a high interest savings account for her trip.

Will go and see dad today, did not get there yesterday, as I broke the lawnmower, blew all the electrics in the house,( there was a loud bang, and sparks !!) and then stabbed myself in the finger whilst gardening :o, had to get OH back from work to sort the electrics out, twas quite eventfull :rotfl:

I texted dd's dad yesterday saying that OH and I had discussed it and that we would find the money for her trip,as WE did not want her to miss out, had a blustering text back saying that he had not seen dd for three weeks, and that he was waiting to discuss it with her when he saw her, I texted back the reason you have not seen her is because she has been working to raise the money for the trip and as I said not to concern himself with it any more ,

Dinner tonight is roast chook with all the trimmings, we had sweed and carrot yesterday first time this year, it was luverly got some left for today too :T

OK better get on, have good days all xx

Oh, Redruby - you told him, didn't you?! By the way, I really hope that today is a lot more UNeventful than yesterday was for you!

Well, all chores done apart from filling the cake when it's cooled, and ironing, but I will try very hard to go and put the board up and plug the iron in and actually do it. It's not even a huge pile so why am I not just being Mrs Perfect Housewife and getting it done? Because I cba, thats why!

Will call back later and happily report that the ironing has been done.......perhaps!

Hugs to you, Candygirl, and how horrible of them smoke all over Boo, poor thing.
