If the PCSO got a warning for letting the would-be-rapist go, why was nothing done when he appeared again?0

The sergeant in charge of the case has now moved to a different department and I have asked a number of times about wether the case is still open but yet no answer0

hook.........I suspect that the manager in question would have had his butt kicked in private.
They knew (and so did I - despite others suggesting otherwise) that the employer did have a duty of care to you and it seems that the employer has also accepted that.
Although I appreciate your annoyance - lessons will have been learnt and if I was in your shoes, I would now just move on and try to forget about the whole sorry episode.0 -
It couldn't have gone the other way as I didn't nothing wrong I did follow his orders he was just !!!!ed at me cause he was shouting at me in Public and I told him where to go after that it went downhill yes he probably has had a talking to be is only a deputy manager and there are a lot of staff now hoping i take out a greivence against him so he will be demoted but I recieved a very good end of year review and don't really want to ruin it I will speak to my line manager and get his advice0

As long as the 'Deputy Manager' will not have any involvement with your next annual review, you should not have anything to worry about.
What could cause you problems with any future appraisal is if you are deemed to be a troublemaker (not suggesting you are) but you really should let this go.
Some may suggest that you are looking for vengeance - that view may also be compounded when you suggest you and your colleagues are hoping the person involved is demoted.
What I would strongly advise is to take no notice of your colleagues who look as though they are providing you with ammunition to fire with little risk to themselves.
Trust me.........you are doing yourself no favours - move on.0 -
Your probably right if I find out he did get a bolloking then I will leave it0
-
as dsicipline conversations should be held in private he may have got a bollocking and you will never know.
up to you if you want to be labelled a troublemaker.Debt free 4th April 2007.

I was punished for something I didn't do and I don't think me wanting something done with this guy makes me a trouble maker0

I think demanding you see vengeance done, does. Especially given you acknowledged you are not totally blameless in taking back to him, and are barely able to hold back your contempt.
But hey, you know if your workplace has a habit of getting rid of troublemakers or is all happy clappy, your call.Debt free 4th April 2007.
