rebelrach wrote:ohhhh dear I now have an email from amazon saying..."let me assure you we are in contact with the seller to assess the situation and ensure this type of pricing error does not happen in the future."
They said it was a stock error not a price error.
Fired off a "please read email and answer actual question" reply, but have heard nothing in the past 24 hours.0 -
Amazon have responded to confirm that in fact the seller lied.
There was no technical error, but simply that the seller offered goods for sale at a price they say was a mistake.
Amazon still say that although the seller is bound to fulfil the order, it is I should has to enforce it.
They did however claim that this vendor has generated "a significant number" of complaints about their selling practices on the Marketplace.0 -
I spoke to micro logic, who confirmed it was a pricing error. They are drafting up a letter explaining whats happened/happening.
He also confirmed that some customers had money earmarked by the banking system for up to 3 days before it was returned, but blames that error on amazons system.
He also said that its in the hands of the companies legal dept as under participation agreement its a contract, and should be honoured but they dont have to stock to do so. He couldnt at this stage guess what was going to happpen as the goods were withdrawn initillay on friday night but kept goung back on the system and it was still under investigation weather amazon did this or themselves.0 -

Fair enough, at least it's an explanation and seems to be the truth this time round. But Amazon still say that had they been made aware of a technical error an email would have been sent to all customers with orders advising that.
Actually the tone of Micrologic's email was disturbingly threatening. Basically said "don't pursue us or we'll counter-claim for legal costs".
Anyway, the whole thing has been dealth with terribly by Amazon. It'll be a while before they get any more custom from me as their "not our problem" attitude doesn't inspire confidence for future purchases.0 -
Hi,
I have just caught up with this. i had placed an order for one of these, ok blue wasn't what I was looking for, but never mind. I received the email from Amazon saying it wasn't an "out of stock" but a "pricing" error. Done a bit of research and found (citizens advice website) that it implies a trader should not quote erroneous prices. Also it does say in the Amazon email that the contract is complete, and therefore binding?. So keep having a go, I reckon they are just waiting for people to give up. An email a day should do the trick, but then they can just bin the emails can't they. Anyway there is always the small claims court. Anyone know a friendly solicitor that can advise on this? Group action anyone?0 -
Did anyone ever get any further with this?
I've just gone through the exact same thing with an iPod misprice that suddenly became an "Out of Stock" item after my order confirmations etc. and then suddenly back in stock at a higher price from the same seller.
I don't expect to get my £13.50 iPod () but I do want an apology for being lied to!!
