Mine also cancelled.
You could probably complain to amazon as it was clearly advertised as 'in stock' at the time of placing the order.
Doubt i'll bother. Nevermind.0 -
Mine has been cancelled an all - oh well.
Keep those eyes peeled - I will have a en one day - the hunt for the best deal goes on.................
My thoughts are now leaning towards the 60 gig version as you get twice the storage capacity for only £40 extra - So I guess thats kind of money saving?????0 -
cancellation 2 hmmm, definitely price error.0
-
It was definitely a price error, no doubt about it. And if the email cancelling the order had said that then I'd have been fine with it. Nothing gained, nothing lost. I would still be hunting around from the cheapest deal on the Zen M, and expecting to pay about £180.
However it didn't it claimed "out of stock". Following which I contacted Amazon and repeated sections 3.2 and 3.3 of their Particpation Agreement to them. This agreement covers third part sellers on Amazon.co.uk.
Amazon have confirmed to me that the seller is bound by that Agreement to fulfil this order, and have assured me that they are going to "put pressure" on extremepcs to do so. They have sent me an email confirming that they will provide me with an update in the next 2 days.
As I said, I'd have been fine with this if an error had been admitted, but it wasn't and I'm damn sure if I'd tried to breach any of my committments Amazon would have forced me into honouring them.0 -
LJ50 - who did you email with your complaint? Im looking on the website and im not sure where to contact them regarding this order.
If we could get lots of us who ordered then surely that would be more pressure on Amazon to do something!0 -
I went into the extremepcs profile on the Amazon marketplace. and filled out the "contact seller" form there.
I also rang amazon.co.uk on the number 0800 2796620 which is when I spoke to "Robby" who confirmed what I was saying about the terms. Whilst he was on I asked him to email me confirmation of this, which he did. Basically saying that they tahnks me for bringing the breach to their attention and they will contact the seller to request that they comply and get back to me.0
