If you get no joy from the headteacher write to the board of govenors, stating everything, all letters writen to them have to be kept on file and if they get ofstead come in they will have to show what action they took. Hence you may get more action done by writing to them.Proud to be DEBT FREE AT LAST0

sorry all, friend asked for advice i posted on here, didn't know she already had!
i put that it was my son to save time as i know what this woman has been doing! her son is withdrawn because of this so called dinner lady and so is she and oh, just wanted advice0 -
That's really terrible. Has your friend considered approaching the police about the problem? Because it sounds as if this is going further than bullying, into harrassment. I think she would be able to see about getting a restraining order put on this woman - especially as her abusive behaviour is occurring outside of school as well. Mentioning restraining orders/police intervention to the school head would be a good way to express the seriousness of the situation, and a good way to make sure that everything that can be done, will be done. Because of course, police intervention could lead to local media coverage, which would be the last thing the head wanted. Do all you can! Please, this woman sounds like a walking nightmare, and people like that need to understand that their behaviour is not acceptable in civilised society.
Good luck!0 -
yes but over the weekend she has now found out that things have happened and people have stopped talking to her, she was a bit confused as to why they had stopped talking but has since found out that her daughter babysits someone where they live and has been sending messages through a mobile phone and blaming my friends son, when it is the dinner ladies daughter, they was also a message about my friends other son, which was nasty and couldn't understand why, until she found out the dinner ladies daughter was babysitting that night the messages were to say the least a bit mature for 10 yr olds to be saying.all of this womans daughters go to my friends oldest sons school and now we have found that they are all being spiteful and doing things very sneakily.i can't say what some of the things are but lets just say she has found out that all the things that are said and done all come down to one of her daughters. who incidentally thinks she is above everyone else0

ah, mystery solved, many thanks. I've advised your friend to see the head or acting head in the first instance, but I also posted that I am concerned for her as the dinner lady is a neighbour. There seems to something malevolent that is happening out of school and the child is becoming a target - totally out of order. If the dinner lady faces a warning over her behaviour, then I can only see the situation outside school worsening.
It also appears that there has been a major problem within the school, hence the turnover in staff. Your friend should ensure that the head puts a stop to this dinner lady picking on the child - he has a right to a safe and happy environment at school.
I think she may well be in need of a good friend!0
