Has anybody got this? Is it worth the money? Considered it this morning but wasn't sure if it would go down well an 8yr old boy.

Went to Braehead just after 9am and it was madness!! The staff were great though and kept the stock coming and in the end instead of putting it on the shelves shouted what was in their box and walked around so people could get whatever it was :)

I got loads!! It didnt look that much in the trolley (honest!) but ended up spending a fortune  I only have 2 kids :o

They had different sets of lego, cars 2, ninjago, pirates of the carribean, lego city etc

Games like connect 4, frustration etc and some lego games

Hot wheels stuff, tranformers, huge remote control cars,

    Loads of babrie stuff

Hello kitty, disney princess, club penguin, zhu zhu, moshi monsters and squinkie

loads of leap frog baby toys

baby annabelle with a pony and one with a dog and sledge

They said they have loads of stuff in the back and would just keep bringing it out but thankfully I had to go get my daughter from nursery

I also went to the one in EK retail park to get the sylvanian windmill and babies and it was soooooo quiet?!! This was about 12.15pm the have most of the above but they also have a few other things braehead didnt like a tool bench thing and scooters

Neither of the stores had dancing mickeys :(

:hello:To everyone who ventured to Upton Wirral this morning. I arrived at 7.30am as had a last minute change of plan to go to store. The Lego section had been well depleted by the time I arrived, but I managed to find a few bits that people were placing back on the shelves after reviewing their trollies.

Can someone set me straight on the cars 2 ultimate LEGO FRANCESCO set - when I got home it is on my receipt as full price (ie. no half price insert underneath it), but I have actually been charged £12.99. Looking at amazon and other sites it looks to me like they retail between £25 - 30, so it looks like I have been charged the correct amount?

    Managed to pick up:

    Moshi gift pack £9.99
    Lego star wars £4.99
    Lego pirates cabin £5.24
    Playmobil knights compact £4.99
    Remote control Mcqueen £15
    Connect 4 £5.99
    HM RAF Figure £6.50
    Lego cars ultimate fransesco £12.99
Fireman sam norman / dilys £2.49
    Lego Hogwarts game £12.50
    Counting Puzzle £3.49
    Cars 2 twinpack vehicles £4.50
    Lego Mater £2.49
    Sainsburys Pirate Ship £20
HM forces Jet Fighter Plane & Pilot Figure £29.99

The last 2 items had hugely inflated RRP's and I think I probably paid around what they are actually worth at half price, but got them to put away for birthdays as my boys will love them.

Popped into Neston Sainsburies an hour ago and although they stock about 15 lines of toys (if that!) they had a shelf full of cars 2 lego sets down to £7 (3 different types - tokyo pitstop etc). They also had plenty of the Sylvanian (? windmills - didn't look too closely) at £25.

Glad I don't work for customer services as I suspect they are going to be busy over the next week!!!

    Thanks! :)
  • Has anyone seen the Hello Kitty Cosmetic case in any of their stores?
Have only visited one store and they didn't have it, so was wondering whether to check the other stores.
