Just back from the scrum of my local sainsburys, was total and utter chaos.
Disappointed there was no star wars lego left but picked up a couple of the ninja one instead also mannaged to get operation and connect 4 and a couple of little mini sets for the kids stockings.
Thought there was a lot of big boxed items (playsets) that were still a bit overpriced for what they were.
Plenty of non-lego items left.
If you have yet to get to your local sainsburys I'd recommend wearing some body armour!0 -
If anybody sees a Mickey in Liverpool could they let me know please, not urgent as wanted for a birthday pressie for march
Thanks x

i thought it was quite calm this morning at the newport store, i arrived by 6.45am for 7 am opening and realised people were starting to walk in, so i got out the car and the lovely young man was opening up early
i got in with the first few people, no pushing, shoving at all really nice. I managed to get quite a bit of lego and stuff my boys have asked for, no big lego sets though my boys want the space centre and police station but none there.
by about 7.30 it was really starting to fill up with people stuggling to get down the isles as they were so many people with big trollies.
anyway i am really happythank you sainsburys

What Ninja sets are most stores selling out of curiousity ? The sale is a good way for Sainsbury to clear out warehouse stock ready for Lego's 2012 wave 1 range of sets that start rolling out to stores in December0

mornign all, or should i say afternoon (feels like it LOL).
Hit Norwich store at 5 to 8 and were abt 20-30 people waiting for doors to open. all very civilised apart for the odd few people and tut tut to who ever it was taking toys out f other peoples trollys. got in and everyone went straight for the lego so the shelves were bare of that in the first 5 mins nobody really interested in the big displays and palletts they had set out everyone went for the normal toy isles. managed to get vtech laptop and vtech camera each for my 2 and got lots of little bits all 6 nehews & neices sorted and pressies for relatives to give my 3 (would never dream of taking my nana to the toy sale way too brutal for her) all in spent £200 but £85 of that for other people so abt £115 was mine but xmas now sorted.
Norwich still had some vetech bits laptops kidiminiz pleanty of the ittle petshop sets zoobles moshis blister packs of moshlings etc andloads of the pallett stuff like mickeys, ride ons, easles, hello kitty etc. But if you are after cameras, lego, or the usual toy isle stuff its prob all gone now as when i came out at 9.20ish it was starting to get very busy.
HTH and goos luck all hope you get what you want x x x0 -
Got to Bitterne just before it opened at 8am and people were queueing. Had to drag my 2 kids along and thought it was going to be a nightmare. We got in and most people went to get the lego.
I send the kids in to get whatever they liked and then sorted through the toys. Spotted some lego hiding on another shelf and got loads of lego city.
Came out with loads of toys for christmas and birthdays. The 4 extra hands were great. Told the kids they can choose one toy each today and the rest we pack up and post to Father Christmas lol. Seemed to work and no tears.:hello:0 -
Wow!
That was certainly an experience I won't be repeating in a hurry! Well for a year anyway! Ipswich Warren Heath was like a zoo, it seemed like there were a couple of hundred people queuing before the store had opened. When it did, half of them acted like wild animals. It was a real shame to see such a lack of respect for one another. I'm sure the front row of a Marilyn Manson concert would probably be calmer. Anyway I got what I needed and quickly left so I'm happy. I can't imagine there will be much left now though!0 -
theres really no need to use a font that size. i appreciate you are trying to be helpful but....
Actually I find large font alerts very useful when there are pages and pages of carp to go through.
More so, if I remember correctly, the half price was not online last year.Love, through the trees, past the sky, beyond the northern lights; and I won't let go. May your soul and spirt fly sweetheart x
My alphabet-girls are with me every step of the way x0 -

Scary scary experience at Calcot! Got there around 8am after my night shift, manic, people everywhere, grabbing boxes off the sales assistants! They were all fighting for lego, however I only saw smallish sets of Halo, Pirates of the Carribean, one small Star Wars set, and Ninjago which everyone was fighting over.
I got the my pal Vtech toy, a my little pony rainbow dash, moshi monster 3 month membership gift tin, Bumblebee, Two lots of charmee things.. maybe something else. Happy with my lot but it was bedlam.0
