  • I went to the norwich longwater one last yr but late so not much left, anyone know what it's like at opening?
  • Fosse Park in Leicester was also civlised when first opened, able to get to aisles, mind you I was first through the door, and husband and I both had set items to look for, not sure if I am actually going to go ths year as toys on their website not appealing to me that much and plus the 11 children I am buying for are all getting older and may prefer more lasting gifts now. Certainly not likely to be up at th crack of dawn this time, but then again I hate to miss a bargain (how sad is that!)
Just because your paranoid does not mean they are not out to get you ! :rotfl:
  • I've just got back from my local Sainsbury's in Wakefield and I suspect that there may well be a few pricing glitches on their system and thats before the toy sale even starts!!! Picked up a Disney Princess doll which should have gone through at £24.99 but the SEL stated it was reduced to £12.49. Took it to the self serve checkout as was trying to hide it from my children and they tried to charge me £19.99 for it so ended up going to customer services, and showing the assistant the SEL which was £12.49!!!! They charged me £12.49 in the end!!!! lolxx
loobylou2.Proud to be dealing with my debts and aiming to sort out the mess in 2013!!!!

to the people that have asked, as ive said previously its NOT online. i emailed them and they replied cornfirming its instore only

They did actually say that last year and it DID come online at midnight. Not masses but still a good amount of toys.
  • What is the best time to go tomorrow my local store opens at 7am so would it be best to get there for 7am or wait until later on?
And is it not going to be online because it was last year?

They have loads more in store than online imho

And tbh it's on over numerous days and they keep getting stock delivered.
We were looking for some boxed games and they only got them in on the last few days of the sale.

to be honest i'm a little anxious about going as i am pregnant and scared i will be pushed and shoved etc, i'm only 21 weeks so baby is still well protected, it's awful to think people can't act civilized :(

If people push a pregnant woman, then I really don't know what the world is coming to!

Don't know which store to go to. I only want some aqua or hama beads
Do I go to little scun Thorpe or do I venture further afield!?

  • Yes I agree only-mee they bring out stuff all day long. I went last year on the thursday and then again Saturday and they had totally new toys on the shelves so was really pleased.

I got all my toy story stuff last year at the sale last year!

Ebayers drive me mad, can be spotted a mile off piling stuff into trolleys!! Last year there was a trolley stacked with buzz lightyears which I thought were ready to be put out ........ but no this lady came and grabbed it, along with another trolley of stuff and went to pay!!! :(
A small Thank You can make a BIG difference ;)

Does anyone know if the store in Dundee Scotland is any good. Never been before as it is about 40mins away so wondered if it was worth a got.

    Thanks

Dundee isn't great the toy section is quite small although they do usually get a few more in for the sale. Aberdeen is better and they have two stores.
