No idea how much I wish that was the case for me, I've had to argue for a half fare since I was 14 and the cut off for it is 16 (which I am now)

Not just the coop that this happens in.All major supermarkets have been caught out in the last few years which is why every one is changing to challange people who look younger then 21, less likely the underage will slip through then!!"Save the cheerleader - Save the world"0 -
My husband aged 23 got asked for ID buying 10 cigarettes for my mum by the co op! Poor thing. He didnt mind though he knows they have a job to do.

My local Morrisons are very vigilant - I've been asked for ID twice when buying bottles of wine for my Sunday lunch - I'm 31:p and am pretty sure I don't look like an under 18 year old ( plus I wasn't wearing make up which they should know any young girl is usually plastered in to try and make them look older...)0

I saw on my local news tonight that they revoked a Tesco's local licence due to selling alcohol to youngsters on 3 undercovers investigations - so i think they will now be very cautious when they get it back in a months time0

I've read a few times in the free paper about supermarkets being threatened with losing their licenses due to underage alcohol sales.
Speaking of alcohol....where's me wine glass??

Morrison's are very strict at asking for ID, I find.
I'm 20, but look young (sometimes get half fair on the buses, lol), and there's only three places I don't get ID'd. Spar (I work there), a local club (used to work there, bouncers know me - mates were asked for ID one night, I went to go into my bag and bouncer's like "I don't need yours!") and my corner shop (cos they know me). Oh and didn't get ID'd to get into a club one night but only cos I had five guys around me and there was only one bouncer, lol."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

I got ID'd at Tesco the other day buying beer. I'm 25 and had about two week's worth of beard at the time, haven't been ID'd since my first week at uni back in 1999!0

We went out for a meal on sunday, ordered a pint for my self and a bottle for the lady.
put them on the counter (opened bottle) and said i need ID for the lady. As we were only out to lunch, she didnt bring her bag. So didnt have any. So he had to take the opened bottle back and throw it out.
What a waste!
In instances like that, its very hard to get around. She is 21 so more than legally allowed alcohol. I cant have her drivers licence in my wallet all the time, as she goes out without me. And in defiantly not carrying around a passport for her!
Most places only accept those 2 forms of ID, so were !!!!!!ed!0 -
I hope he didn't charge you for the bottle? let's face it, it was his fault for not asking for the ID first.
Thinking back, the woman who asked me for ID when buying lottery printed the tickets before asking. I could have just said I didn't have any to cause bother for her.....but i'm not that sort of person!0
