Just thought i'd throw this one in my service provider is O2.
i dont have any use for free apps, dont care much for free support that i wont use.
O2 would not at first even entertain any suggestion they should reimburse me for my loss of service for the BB outage but on principal i maintained my stance and won maybe only pennies

I'm going to take a stance that yours is a SPAM post and should be reported for the blatant advertising of your company name.

they have added another one...Bubble Bash !
  • If you go to:

    http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/category/118

Not through a BlackBerry, you'll get a list of free apps.

If you can find them through the App World, they'll be free.

Unfortunately, they're all a bit rubbish.

I tried a free chess one and part way through, it asked me to watch adverts!
Am I missing something? I thought apps were meant to be useful things? Most of them seem a bit naff.
Or perhaps I'm just not into computer games...apart from chess. Want to get good enough to beat my 84 year old dad!

There are only two complimentary Apps at the moment. The other 'Free' Apps on the website are the usual Free Apps and not part of the 'apology'.

    Thanks, I didn't realise.

That would explain why they're so rubbish!

This is no use to business users or people who bought the blackberry for pure communicating and email. Why not give users option of £63 worth in texts or MB for their internet?

Im not too fussed, but i dont see business users sitting their looking for £63 worth of apps they will never use.
Better to understand a little than to misunderstand a lot.

I already had the Drivesafe.ly app, but the free version. It worked fine. Since upgrading to the complimentary "Pro" version (value $19.99) it no longer reads my emails and texts, it randomly switches on and off in meetings and I have never been able to change from the female to male voice.

My husband can't get his Pro version to work either, even though like me the Free version worked fine. He can't even get his to sync with his bluetooth headset.

All in all these "free" apps are a bunch of crap - no wonder they are free. I went to a forum where a Poll revealed that 88% of users who tried the Drivesafe.ly Pro version couldn't get it to work.
  • A few more free apps available:

    - Vlingo - Virtual Assistant
    - Shazam Encore
    - Bejeweled

Still not great, but they are getting better I think.
  • The Sims and SimCity Deluxe are now available.
