MSE News: BlackBerry users to get free apps after blackout

What would have been good would have been to hear this from Blackberry themselves and not via a third party - they have our numbers, they could have messaged us!
I'm not particularly interested in apps, would rather have had a free month of service - am sure most people would be satisfied with that plus as it only costs me £5 a month would surely be more cost effective for the company also?Trying very hard to be frugal and OS - just plodding on and doing my best!

This is rubbish copensation... has anyone got anything direct from Orange... i hear that those who compalin are getting things from some of the phone providers, but i dunno if i can be bothered with a 20 minute on-hold!BACK and READY..... waiting on Royal Mail!!!0

I think corporate customers will get one month of free technical support.
BlackBerry cannot give you a month of free service, as their service is provided via the mobile networks. So the only compensation they can offer is something direct from them. Hence the free Apps and technical support.
Just my opinion of course.0 -
just had a look on blackberry app world and none of these apps are free yet.0

If I ever find my pin and username and stuff and can actually download apps, which ones are good? I've never had a phone with Apps before.
Blackberry don't have a Skype app do they?0 -
dont know about any one else but they appear to be only gifting the drive safely app?0

It's only the drive safely one atm, I'm assuming others will be added soon (perhaps daily?)"Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

HTH
Thank you!
Could I suggest you get a job at Tesco Mobile??? What you suggested sorted my phone out within 2 minutes. They have been trying for weeks!
I'm curious now my mobile is actually working and I can use apps! Don't know which ones I'd like!0 -
Just thought i'd throw this one in my service provider is O2.
i dont have any use for free apps, dont care much for free support that i wont use.
O2 would not at first even entertain any suggestion they should reimburse me for my loss of service for the BB outage but on principal i maintained my stance and won maybe only pennies0
