Waterproofs still drying on the line after drying and reproofing... I suppose I should bring them in soon. Another load drying in the utility room. Hoover has been used in all but the living room (well, and the study which is full of stuff and the spare room which still has dust sheets all over it). Bath and upstairs loo have been cleaned. Shopping has been done, both real (picked up mended dress, stocked up on shampoo and iron tablets) and Internet (organic cotton tights, dishwasher liquid, nutritional supplements). I just need to order Epsom salts and look for house insurance quotes tonight...

Tomorrow I will need to do a major tidy of the kitchen, sitting room and bedroom so they can be cleaned on Tuesday. I also need to write to the window cleaner again to say that when I said I didn't want him cleaning the windows anymore, I meant it, so can he please stop. Oh... And I might wash the sofa covers and out the clean ones on... Then I can send them to be ironed which will mean less stuff in the house for a bit :D

Time to get the stuff off the line and light the fire I think...
  • Been across London today - visiting someone with some ADORABLE kittens and their lovely but tiny, thin, roughly 7 month old mum who ALL need good homes. Look on the Pets thread for Lucy and her babies and see if you would be willing to take any of them.

Minion sounded almost like a normal 12 year old. And luckily, the one she had already thought she would choose was a male, as stipulated by me. So he has been claimed and will be collected when he is old enough and Mum (who is wonderful and NEEDS a home) is being spayed.

Spent the return journey debating names. So what exactly is wrong with cats named

    Mingus
    Syd (Barrett)
    Floyd (Pink)
    Basie (Count)
    Herbie
    Fender
    Marvin
    Elvis
    Sushi
    Ghengis
    or Loki?

At this rate it's going to be named Cat.

Mingus ~ Would Minion prefer mundungus???
    Syd (Barrett) ~ sloth name!
Floyd (Pink).. My mother had Pink and her sister Floyd she still has
Basie (Count) ~ too obscure I feel people need to get the reference
    Herbie ~ thats a car!
Fender ~ one of the better ones.
    Marvin ~ Gaye.. no
    Elvis ~ sad!
    Sushi ~ me likes
    Ghengis ~ excellent name!
    or Loki? ~ too common

Dot to dotting is continuing in the rod
  • evening all!

went to the massive garden center and i wanted to buy everything in it! and we went for coffee in the restaurant and had the most amazing cheese scone *drool*

got my advent candle and also 9 new fishies! 3 male guppies and 6 females so in a few months i should have babies!! maybe shouldnt have bought more new fish today when i only started introducing fish on tuesday but as long as i keep an eye on the ammonia levels and change the water if it gets too high it wont be a problem. im now at ease with the tank coz i have 20 fishies which is a wonderful round number. i hated having 11 fish in there!

tea was southern fried chicken out of the takeaway secret cookbook and i love seeing DS2 chewing into a drumstick! i didnt have enough salt in the flour coating but otherwise it was amazing. defo will be making that again but ill do it on strips rather than drumksticks for the kids.

tonights plan is sitting watching the lovely colourful world of my fish tank now its taking shape and very active and aiming for an early night.

    Evening all,

I cleared my ironing mountain :j, i was just getting the washing off the line to iron when OH turned up. So, that'll have to be done tomorrow now.

As well as that i've put the rabbits to bed and cleaned up the kitchen after tea.

I need to put the ironing away but i'll do that when OH is bathing Ds2.

    Evening

Hope you have all had a good day.

Pigpen~~ more cats / kitten, surely you have more than enough in your house both kids / cats / rabbits to cope with, but then again 2 more might not make much difference.

Not really too sure exactly what I have today, but I have done loads of odds and sods of stuff.

The fish sound lovely. We are possibly a little crowded in our tank with 4 cloud minnows, 2 leopard & 2 zebra danios (The Munchers), 2 oranda (Morris & Tiger) and Gary the Snail, but the biological filter is working well now we've had the setup since June.We did lose 2 fish in the early stages though. Do you have a nursery tank or partition to give the fry a chance of survival?

Trying to transfer the contents of the camera to the laptop by bluetooth via my phone as I can't find the cable. Sooooooooooooooooooo sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooow!
