I have severe kitchen envy ...its lovely macpep1.

Little flying achieved today....went food shopping this morning then LOs first harvest festival in church...he was so sweet....after that it was Ds2s parents evening...which was also pretty good xx

Ended up with a chippy tea...not very MSE but a real treat.

I have got 3 lots of washing dry outside...put shopping away...Bedding in TD...DWx3....put towels away....all around BabyD who isnt too well at the moment.

Possibly off to HB with mum tomorrow so will try to do some flying after I have picked LO up from school.

    Love to all xx

pics are there. wondered why my screen had gone a bit big :rotfl:

i want your kitchen! mine is about a quarter of yours. its too small :(
Believe me when we looked at the house it was the kitchen that was putting me off, there was a big MASSIVE wall sticking out in the middle, too hard to explain but we were told by the estate agent it was our next door neighbours cupboard,??? it turned out to be an old chimney/fireplace and was knocked down, lintle put in and proud to say I designed and measured all myself and designed using i*ea software and got a joiner friend to order an fit units and he said he was well impressed I had got all the sizes correct

ETA Macpep1 - your oven looks like mine - except without the layer of burnt on grease!! :rotfl::rotfl:Did you do that yourself? It must have been fairly clean to start off with? I can't find a product to use on my 'self-cleaning' oven - and it certainly don't 'self-clean'!! :(

I used brillo pads as I had no oven stuff or biological washing powder in and I am rather anal about my oven, glass door bugs me though as there are bits between the double glazing I cannot get too (sure toots has the same thing :() I have been known to ask Pigpen to put the oven on the list:rotfl:

magpep1. I love your kitchen. Its very like mine except bigger. The funny thing is we've been discussing redoing the floor this evening and decided black would be too dark - having looked at yours we've changed our mind. Thanks.

To be honest, we had a very expensive wood effect vinyl before, almost identical to the cupboard colour and I loved it, but the laminate is more practical for us, its a charcoal laminate ( I think from B & Q if memory serves me correctly) we are in an old style cottage so everywhere is dark :rotfl:

    Mattress toppers?

Do you have one? if so how thick is it, and what is its filling, and if you can remember what sort of price did you pay for it?

I had a mattress topper, one of the memory foam ones, cost around £90 and yes it did make a wee bit of difference but, I hate loads of covers on me and being stifled in my bed so it had to go, my DH would sleep with a 100 tog quilt and not be warm enough but even in the winter its a 9.5 tog for me (I have 2 quilts that connect together, a summer and winter but I just put the spare on top of DH doubled and I still kick covers off :rotfl:) so the mattress topper had to go, as it was too hot under me and not very hygienic so I now just have a mattress protector :o

Kazwookie - Just saw your siggy - Way to go and well done you, thats absolutely fantastic, you must be so proud of yourself :j:j:j:j

Well had a really cr***y day today DM has been really poorly COPD so doc has said she's unfit to fly - her and daddio were supposed to be coming on hols with us on Thursday so really emotional. It was just what she needed shes like a hermit at the minute. But hey ho. TBH flyings kept me going today got the majority of the tasks done (haven't figured out how to do the pastey thing on my phone yet) despite being asked to go into work at the last minute and having to sort emergency childcare god bless CM!

Dont go with Homeserve they are really really bad

I disagree.. Ive been with them years and they have been fantastic. I only signed up initally because I needed a boiler service and it was cheaper to sign up for a year and have the free service than it was to pay for a one off service! .. Plus there was £60 quidco cashback.

They have been out to do repairs 3 times and have been here within 24 hours and fixed in doube quick time and cleaned up after themselves etc.. :D

  • Morning everyone! Poorly DD let us sleep until 4am this morning before she decided she could only sleep in our bed!:j Although she did then spread herself right across the bed with her head by my feet so I couldn't sleep properly because I was scared I would kick her!

Got to take her back to the docs today and see if she needs antibiotics. Need to get this cleared up quickly as we're supposed to be visiting my Gran at the weekend. She has a very aggressive cancer and doesn't have long left. She's been getting really depressed and the only thing that's been keeping her going is our visit:(

Probably going to be another quiet day centred around the TV for us!
