Thank you both! Well here's to 2012 being the debt busting year for us all! Tomorrow is a day for busting the clutter in the house and getting a box full of lovely stuff for ebay! As well as clearing out the rubbish ready for me to load into the car and throw into the council dump! Am back to work on the 4th so not too much time but if the kids and FOH pull their combined weights we should be on the up!

Had to take DD2 to hospital for her annual check up on the 30th. She is 7 but in 4-5 clothing most of the time. She does fit some stuff for her age but mostly its smaller clothing. She was diagnosed with constitutional short stature so they like to keep check on her height and weight. She has grown 5 cm and put on 5kg in a year! The doc was quite happy with that but has referred her for a heart scan as he heard a slight echo when listening to her chest. She had one at the age of 1 but they didnt find anything but its best to check. I;m not overly concerned as she is quite healthy so just got to wait for the appointment.

I got the results back from my wee trip to hospital. It came back that the cells were not so good so have to have another smear in 6 months (boo) but am not thinking much about it apart from I wish this monthly hell I've been going thru for 7 years would stop! But so far the doc just keeps offering the coil ... am considering it now but have quite openly stated that i will not stick my nose in the air if they offer a hysterectomy!!! My population contributing days are well and truly over so they can have all the bits ... I no longer need them!!!!!

Well that seems to be my news for now ... am off to bed in the hope of getting some sleep (have been a bit of an insomniac over the hols) and have made a kind of resolution to keep contributing to this diary ... but the main resolution is to get at least one of the 3 main debts paid off before the end of this year! If I pay off more than one then I will be a happy bunny!!!!!

See you all very soon xxxx

I have also decided today to start saving up all my £2 coins in an attempt to save for christmas! So far I have £12 and am very chuffed. I will just have to be strong and not empty the tin when I need some spare cash!

So here it is folks, the big plan for 2012's debt busting.

OH is to hand over £200 a month towards paying off the catalogue debt from christmas and my new fridge! That should be paid off in 10 months (all thing being equal and hoping that he remembers to pay up lol).

He is also to hand over £400 a month so that I can save this in order to offer F&F's on certain debts.

I am going to write to Lloyds first. They need to get the duplicate OD debt removed forthwith from my credit file (and that of OH). I will also be requesting full details of each debt with them, including original date of default, original debt amount, interest and charges added since the default.

I will also be writing to IF with the same request. I will also be contacting the DCA's to get full details from them for the date they took on the debts, and dates and details of all payments made, with current balances.

I have a feeling that the details on my credit files are not quite right, especially the default dates and balances.

I will then be sending the correct information to the Credit File companies to get my information updated (including copies of correspondence from Lloyds and IF to back this up).

At £400 a month, in 5 months there should be enough to offer a F&F on the OD debt, 5 months after that we could possibly offer a F&F on the IF debt. That would leave only the big Lloyds debt which could be paid off by the middle of next year if things go to plan.

If OH does get the other job he is going for then this could bring certain debt repayments forward but this is going on the money coming in at the moment. If we can get the catalogue paid off then the money next year will get saved along with the £400 to pay off the Lloyds debt quicker, then just bunged in a savings account to hopefully buy this place.

I am also awaiting a data protection printout from the army regarding my service. I was told I was medically discharged which would entitle me to a pension based on their estimates of my projected rank after 22 years service. They have said I was not medical discharged and have refused my request for a pension. Once i get the paperwork I will be going thru it with a fine toothcomb and if i see the words medical discharge I will be writing them a stern letter asking that they work out and pay my pension to me as soon as possible, That would have to be backdated for 20 years which would be a fantastic amount of money which would mean i could buy this place and be debt free instantly! I am certainly not banking on this, as I am not confident that I will get anywhere, but if you don't ask and all that lol.

So that is the BIG plan for 2012.

The smaller plan is to declutter the house, sell anything we no longer need, make sure we are well stocked in case of power cuts and the like, start couponing for all i am worth to try and amass a stockpile of stuff that we actually need and use and try to make as many presents and cards and stuff myself so that we always have a stock of pressies and cards to give folk. I am aiming for a no spend christmas this year but i have 11 months to get there. I also want to start decorating this place. We have been living here for 3 years and painted the kids rooms when we moved in and have really only decorated the downstairs loo properly so this is the year that some of the rest of the house gets sorted out. First room to get done will be DD2's bedroom, as normally DD1 gets first, so this year we have agreed that DD2 can get first (it was actually DD1's idea for this ... sweet kid that she is)

I have another huge list of other stuff that I want to do ... like the garden needs sorted out so we can actually grow some veggies ... we did manage some purple sprouting broccoli, some herbs and carrots, puny beetroot and one pan's worth of potatoes last year so this year I want to grow a lot more and hopefully reduce our shopping bills by doing so, the compost bin really needs sorted too, but that can wait till the better weather.

And to top that all off I have a driveway that resembles a mud slide at the mo, so need to get the driveway block paved as soon as I can amass the money for it.

So there it is folks, the bonsibabe plan for 2012 ... OMG I have just realised how big this is ... will have to write down some serious lists tomorrow and start ticking things off as they get done ... than goodness I am prepared and have loads of paper for the printer ... a new shredder ... and am a fast typist ... must get motivated ... must get motivated ...

Am off for some sleep now ... am going to will myself to get up early in the morning to start decluttering the kitchen ... and going to be quite ruthless about it.

Hope you are all well xxxx

I have just realised that after 7 pages of postings, I never included my catalogue debt in this ... and I'm not going to either! It's a debt yes but one that I keep up the payments on so I'm not in bother with that so not going to include it, although i hope to have the majority of it paid off by October or November (apart from the stuff my dad bought and he's keeping his payments up so that's good too!).

I have decided to do housework and visiting parentals today and will do the letters in the evening when kiddles are in bed and OH is at work ... I should technically have peace and quiet to concentrate then!

Will pop back later to see how you are all doing xxx

Well I can tick one thing off the list ... I have reapplied for my replacement blue parking badge online! All I have to do now is send them a copy of my driving licence, my dla letter and my passport photos that I got done last week! Not bad considering I was waiting for over 4 months for the local authority to get back to me with the forms!!!!! So glad I checked online as you can now apply online if you live in scotland or england! So much easier than waiting for the council to send me the forms, only downside is I have to pay £20 for it!!!! And the free parking in town is rapidly diminishing in favour of taxi spaces! But it does help at the supermarket as my back can only take so much so being able to park in front of the shop is so much easier for me.

I have had some bother with older folk at the supermarket. Just because I am younger and don't "look disabled" doesn't mean that I don't have a disability. Just that mine is spinal damage and osteoarthritis which you can't see and is managed pretty well with painkillers at the moment. So the only visible sign is a constant limp which I don't notice but others do! Had a barney with an old chap the other week. He told me I didn't look disabled so I told him he didn't look prejudiced against younger folk! Soon shut him up, specially when DD1 told him he was being very rude and should apologise to her mummy cos her mummy is disabled! His face was a proper picture! Although all credit to him he did apologise to me and DD1 for jumping to conclusions.

Anyhow, rant over, am off to look out the paperwork i need to send off tomorrow!
