Moooooving back to DFW - one Fresian's continued adventures in debt-busting

Morning all
My normal monthly loan payment has been taken (and interest added. Booooo!)
Outstanding balance - £3897.18 (Under £4,000 - yay!!)
Savings - £2800
Actual balance - £1097.18
I am going to get this under £1000 by next payday. I'm still not including my tax rebate money as I'm really not sure what I want to do with it. I should be able to get the loan to around £600 outstanding by the end of next month which means I will definitely pay it off by the end of the year with or without the tax rebate
My mortgage is also going to go below £42,000 when this months payment is made, so that's quite exciting too! I may not be an official MFW any more, but I like seeing the figure go down.0 -
Hehe, I forgot that you're able to change the name of internet savings accounts with my bank. I now have nearly £400 sitting in an account which I've christened "Rebate of Joy" :rotfl::rotfl:0

Probably because I didn't mention it on FB as some of his family didn't know about it straight away
He's ok now, although he's agreed to see his doctor so must be in a bit of pain as normally he avoids her like the plague....
He was driving his mum's car, not Fred. It's written off but she's been fine about it - she would rather he was in one piece than the car. It was quite a smash though, I think he was really lucky to get out without serious injury.0 -
:hello:
I'm glad Mr FF is ok! I hope he's not in pain for too long. That accident sounds horrible!
Congrats on the tax rebate... That reminds me I need to look into my tax as they are taxing me on some kind of monthly code since I started this job.flying_fresian wrote: »In good news from an MSE and a Fat Club point of view, they're opening a gym near my house that is one of the budget gyms costing under £20 per monthIt's not opening till June, but when it does I'm going to work it into my budget. It's too good an opportunity to pass up - even the council gym near me is £40 per month and is miles from the house
I need to do something to improve my cardio fitness as I'm nowhere near fit enough to do the ice skating dances I want to without being seriously out of breath!
Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

I think it's partly because I can't believe it's mineI don't trust either my HR department or HMRC so it might be better to leave the money sitting to one side just in case :rotfl:

Tell Mr F I am thinking of him.
Not in a random internet stalker kind of way, but just because I've read your explanation about his accident xEmergency savings: £0 saved / £4000 target0
