  • Oh FF - hope you feel better soon.

I just have a quick question or you about your all time favourite subject - SB 's!!!!

A week or so ago you mentioned a survey where you only answer one question but got 55 SB's - I did this for a few days but I have not seen it since - are you still doing the survey and if you are can you point me in the right direction.

    Thanks

    Thanks ladies :)

I'm still very much full of snot and feeling sorry for myself. I went out on Boxing Day but didn't stay in the shops for too long, and only left the house briefly yesterday to buy Sudafed. I didn't realise that there was caffeine in the pills though and didn't get to bed until after 4am

Christmas was really lovely in Fresian Towers and Santa was very good to both of us. Mr F received enough computer games to ensure that he won't leave the house at all in 2012 and he got loads of lovely new clothes too. I also got a couple of games (woo!) but also received a load of lovely craft things too. I haven't felt like crafting recently, as I've been really busy in the run-up to the festive period, but I've got some things to make tonight so I'm going to be putting on my slanket and heading into my craft room shortly.

Money isn't looking too bad at the moment, although my credit card took a wee hit on Boxing Day. I've started taking my food money out in cash instead of using a card, and it's making me think a little more about what I'm spending. This month's budget is sitting at
£81.39/£200 which is ok given that I got paid two weeks ago. There is still a long time to wait until next payday though.

I'm due to be visiting Kissjenn tomorrow for food and some board games, but am waiting to see how I feel. At the moment I'm too grotty for company :(

Hope Santa was kind to everyone else :D

I've done my cards now and they're really nice if I do say so myself :)

I'll take photos tomorrow and post them on my blog. One of my plans for the new year is to do more blogging as I've been neglecting my cardmaking competitions etc recently!

    Evening folks ;)

I am pleased to report some progress tonight - I can breathe through my nose again :j Hopefully I'll be right as rain tomorrow. Sad to have missed a night at Kissjenns, but hopefully I'll get out to visit her sometime soon.

Today I finally got out of the house and got some food shopping done. I spent nearly £30 though  I've started a groceries diary with a new notebook from Accessorize that I bought in the sales. What I'm going to do before I go to the supermarket is write a list of what I need then note down how many I bought (including packet size e.g. 500g) and how much I paid. That means that when I go to another supermarket I can compare to make sure I'm always getting the best price for things I buy regularly. I'm making sure that I also note down what I bought that was not on the list too :D

I've got under £100 left of my groceries budget now and that has to last me until the 21st of January (1st Saturday after payday) so I'm not going to be buying anything else that counts as a food cupboard item - I'm terrible for buying things "just in case" and just leaving stockpiles. I'm going to have to get creative with my cooking I think - which can only do me good. I bought a massive punnet of value mushrooms today and spent a delightful half hour cutting them up and have put them in the freezer. That will be good for pasta sauces/bolognaise later in the month. I'm going to get some batch cooking done soon too. When I get paid, I'll do a big shop at Asda and use the £5 off £40 voucher I've got.

Tomorrow I might be nipping to one of the localish retail parks to have a neb around some of the sales and to meet one of the lovely ladies from the frugal living threads. She has the lurgy too though so it depends how she's feeling. If she's not up to it I'll leave the sales for another day!
