    When I had sciatica, I placed a coolpack for 15 minutes, then used a hotpack. The first reduced the swelling, the second relaxes the muscles. In combination, they were very effective.

    Alan has always done the 'hot/cold' method too and recommends it to everyone, it is effective. It was just that online it said that cold was recommended for sciatica so he thought he'd try it

    He is a little better right now and has been up for an hour and a half, though still very sore. I guess he will be going back to bed for a while and then getting back up to watch the footie if he can manage it

    Hiya Bonnie Lad - Alan is sitting watching the footie with an ice pack actually it's a bag of frozen mixed veg on his hip/bum :eek: :eek: The painkillers with anti-inflamatories are making it a bit more comfy for him :)

    No beer for him tonight, though he has had a bar of 17p chocolate hehe

    :eek: awww glad to hear your in charge of the chocs.. :D

    No not finished the outside lights but all is done inside.

    Hopefuly will do the rest of the outside on Monday after our weekend away in Norfolk. So we may pop in to see you both again & have a cuppa. :D
