Last time I had plasters I had light blue and dark blue!!
How cool is that, Beanie
Mam had been shouting again this afternoon, but Carer B sits with her and only left when she fell asleep. When I got there, door was open and Mam was lying awake. Just before I got in the room, she gave one 'Maaaa' and then she settles as she saw me, and we had a giggle. She ate her dinner and then had ice cream, but is choking badly on her juice and tea and whe she chokes she turns red in the face and moans 'oh god' and then her mind wanders and she starts shouting for Mammy - I said to her that when I am ill, I shout for my Mam, just like she was doing, so we had a laugh about that. I could see that she was tired after dinner, probably from the choking, and I put my head against hers and she settled but wouldn't go to sleep. When I left, I heard her shouting Baaaa, Maaaaa, etc as I got to the foyerI am going to go down earlier tomorrow as Carer B doesn't have to spend so much of her time with her. B is the only carer that does this as she loves Mam. She says she's the only one in there with any character. She has been working in the other part of the home for a few months, but transferred back to Mam's unit, at the request of the Doc, so that is good

3Dogs that was a heartbreaking post. You tell it like it is and how it happened but I could just feel the emotion in your words. I like Carer B
Does your mam like her?

Hello,
Just to pop in and say: Happy new thread :j
I can't remember what my challenges are. I think one of them was to lose weight so at least that one I have done well with. The rest I think have been a bit haphazard
New challenges:
- Survive until xmas
That is it, considering what is going on that is a challenge and a half. I think I will cancel xmas this year. Just don't think I have any energy left by that time."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Yes, we are really pleased that Carer B is back on the unit. She really does care about Mam and spends time with her, and Mam does like her. In fact yesterday when she was doing her Baaa'ing I said Carers name and she said YES!! so we think she is calling for her sometimes, well we'd like to think so
