Yes, I did go to class last night Beanie, as did Mr 3Dogs at home. He lost 1 1/2 lbs and I found them
I know exactly what did it for me - a bar of chocolate while reading my book in bed on Saturday AND sunday nights

3Dogs, sounds like your Sis had the op done at a right useless hospital. Fancy the nurse putting numbing drops in the wrong eye, then the theatre nurse not even cutting a breathing-hole in the cover-sheet.
It is very off-putting when the operating team act like they are working from the 'Dummies Guide to eye surgery'. I was expecting my eye to be swollen and painful. it was swollen, but did not water at all. I do hope this episode hasn't put her off any future eye surgery.
Beanie, if your DS is in further ed, and is living at home then you should still get both child benefit and the child tax credit ellament of WTC until either he leaves F/E, or hits 19, whichever comes first.
Came-in from camera club and Mrs P. had Idealworld on. They had a 6-piece set of the new Tefal range on offer for £129.99 (I was tempted, but kept my wallet in my pocket). They looked superb. The guy demonstrating them cooked everything from pizzas to eggs to burgers, all without using a drop of oil and the pans stayed nice and clean. Ideal for those who like a fry-up.Never Knowingly Understood.

Well, we now know why my sister's eye is so swollen, sore and weeping ....... she is allergic to the eye drops they have given her. It was so bad this morning that she went up to Eye Casualty at the hospital where she had her op, and they have now gien her different drops as well as antihistamine drops, so we are hoping that eases it

Thanks for that Patman but my understanding is that thAt is only the case if it is non advanced further education.

Hey gang.
Weigh in later
what is DS studying Beanie?
What type of education counts for Child Benefit?
Education counts for Child Benefit if it's full-time, 'non-advanced' education. Your child needs to have started, enrolled or been accepted onto a course that counts before their 19th birthday.
'Full-time' means that, on average, more than 12 hours a week in term time is spent on:
tuition
practical work
supervised study
taking exams
It doesn't include breaks for meals and homework.
'Non-advanced' education includes the following:
GCSEs
A levels
NVQ/SVQ level 1, 2 or 3
BTEC National Diploma, National Certificate and 1st Diploma
SCE higher grade or similar
This isn't a complete list. If you're not sure whether your child's education counts, you can contact the Child Benefit Office for further advice.
Courses that don't count for Child Benefit
You can't get Child Benefit if your child is doing an 'advanced' education course. Examples of advanced education courses include:
a degree
Diploma of Higher Education (DHE)
NVQ level 4 or above
BTEC Higher National Certificate (HNC) or Higher National Diploma (HND)
teacher training
This isn't a complete list. If you're not sure whether your child is doing an advanced education course you can contact the Child Benefit Office for further advice.0
