HE'S GORGOUSE!!!!!!!!!
Stuff the fact he's not a pure breed, as a 'mongrel' your going to get less problem's 'cause of less inbreeding.

Sorry for the rant 3Dogs, everyone. Just sometimes I get frustrated... and yeah, sometimes angry at ignorance.
Rant away Froogs - it's the love your give a dog that matters, not what breed it is. The only 'pure' breed dog we've ever had is Bess, who had a Jack mother and father, but to honest, Jack Russells aren't a 'proper' breed, according to the Kennel Club, so that doesn't count really. When we have them out walking, people faun over Billy, and Bess too, as they are so friendly and cute. Bonnie keeps out out of the wayThe love a dog gives you and your family is not measured by it's pedigree. 'Mongrels' or 'Cross-breeds' are healthier and live longer, and I know that I would rather have a healthy dog for many years, than have on one with inbred problems and half the life-scan of a 'mongrel'. Pet insurance is a lot less if you state 'mongrel' on the form because of this, reflecting the problems that are inherent in many pure breeds
Who do these people think they are - the English race is a 'mongrel' race, for God's sake, after so many invasions over the centuries, but I am still proud to call myself English. Turn their noses up at anything without a pedigree, huh   And giving a home to an 'unwanted' dog is so much more heartwarming and gratifying, and I thank you for doing it. ALL dogs deserve a good loving home, not just to be an accessory, which most of the designer pedigrees are these days
My rant over now too   but I feel better for it
You've done the right thing, for you, for the girls, and for woof-woof, and I do hope you all have a long happy life together :j :j
P.S. I like Alfie or what about Ollie considering the Oliver Twist link? Tell the girls it's after Ollie Murs heheMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Ah, I knew you would fight my corner too 3Dogs. I know you sing from the same song sheet. I feel like I was ignorant in bleating on about polish lowlands. I am still the same snob really I guess but I am learning to look at the bigger picture - the whole living frugally lesson does this for you. You get to embrace a more grounded approach to life, more thankful and appreciative.
I guess I was still hung up on the look of the accessory with the polish lowland - they are gorgeous, no denying it but I have already bonded with this little thing .. and if pure bread was all that mattered to me I would have picked the pure lurchers or the pure gorgeous labradors that were in with him. They weren't interested in us after a minute and all sauntered off. That little fella scrabbled at the cage grate for ages licking little ones hand. Both DH and I said that's the one, you were right - he chose us.
Anyway, enough of my doggy talk. Oh but have to say, my brother in law has very kindly lent us his crate to help the puppy with his 'potty training' as I call it. Can't help it - it's years of kids! So that's a whole lot of money saved.
I've been crocheting a blanket for him and I'm going to sleep with it all week so it smells of me when he's alone at peepies time. That's a bit sad I know, I'll let you take the mick out of me for that one0 -

OMG he is sooo cute. Dont pay attention to anyone. You have to trust your own instincts. They never let you down. I should know.
Hark at me, I sound like I have some confidence. :rotfl::rotfl:
I am going to follow my advice. It has been a wierd week. He looks lovely and it is so nice that you are crocheting a blanket too.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -

Haven't moved everything yet - still finding places for the stuff I have brought with me so far.
Hope everyone has had a good day.0 -
I have been resting today and am avoiding anything upsetting. It has been great. I love watching Celebrity Fantasy Homes. I am an addict but i really dont like what they buy with their millions. I like stuff that is plain and not ostentatious. I might go and watch tv in a bit (again) it really is rather relaxing. House is tidy so all is well.
I am making plans for half term. My parents are coming after Friday for a few days. Then i will have lots of marking to do, lie ins to have, I will sort out my garage and I will help craftihants to sort her living room out. Rather excited. I can't believe how quickly time has flown. I don't feel too down either. Yay things are on the up.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220
