Morning all and great to be on part IV, here i am with an update of my 2011 challenges: -
1. Get fit, lose at least 3 stone in weight (achievable as i managed it when i used to be a racing cyclist) Have achieved some weight loss but through what I eat rather than incresed exercise
2. Not to waste money on items we dont need. Achieving this and making the most of pricing errors/vouchers/promotions at certain supermarkets, COUGH
3. continue with my battle to sort debts out. This is ongoing, still on my DMP and also managed to receive a refund on one loan of PPI so all going well so far.
4 Exercise more and get at least one walk outdoors each week. Getting some walking in but now need to step up a gear to achieve this target, there are so many lovely locations here that its such a waste not to make the most of them.
5 Eat more healthily. This is now being achieved, apart from chocolate now and again, LOL
6 Use more vouchers Deffo doing this and managed to get 54 tins of soup free (£45) and the first two weeks in October have used £78 of vouchers :rotfl::T
7 Meet 3dogs and Mr3dogs Achieved several times and let there be many more meets:T:T:):)
8 Help people and share my wealth of knowledge without judgement (treat people as one would hope to be treated) Hopefully I do this with ease, though learning to walk away isnt easy at times
9 Enjoy life Doing this nicely, life after all is too short
10 Get out on the bike. Sadly have failed this to date. (NOW ON MY must do list)

Good challenges Boult and Andy :j :j together we can achieve much more than we can on our own :beer:hantsindebt wrote: »3dogs, did you manage to get your heating oil?
Not yet - can't afford itCar Tax and MOT end of this month  Let's hope that Mr 3Dogs makes loads of dosh at the car boots over the next few weeks
My budget shows that we Will be able to get oil on 9th November if not before - so Mr 3Dogs might be wearing lots of sweaters and spending time at the car boot cafe and at Linda's over the next 3 weeks while I am warm up in Newcastle
Just been preparing a chilli and put it in the slowcooker for when we get back from the car boot later - smells lovely already as I browned it off in the pan first with garlic and spices, which I don't normally do - I normally just chuck everything in together, usually streaight from freezer :eek:Mr 3Dogs 3-7-12

i agree, always good to help/encourage each other!
Your meal sounds lovely, and browning the meat with the spices and garlic will help the meat absorb more of the flavour. We have my mother over today so doing chicken breast wrapped in bacon seasoned with garlic powder, served with roast spuds, stuffing, yorkshire pudding, cabbage, swede and carrot mash, just debating whether to do a nice steamed treacle lemon sponge for dessert.. like the one we had on your trip down. Hope Alan does well at the bootie so that you may get the heating oil a bit faster. Hugs from us down south! xEating sensibly to try and lose some weight0 -

Puppy class went fab
We get to bring him home on Thursday. He's not going to be called Roobs, it just didn't feel right for him. We're thinking Alfie but not decided.
Here's the little fella. He looks huge on the photo but isn't really. Also they think his dad may have been a labrador spaniel cross as he has an elongated nose and white fluffy tummy. So... He's a beagle labrador spaniel cross. Bless him, no wonder they called him Oliver Twist!

I've already had my family turn their noses up at having a 'mongrel' Do I give a sh*t? They're the most rude set of people at times and I'm fed up of them looking down their noses at me. No wonder I ended up bankrupt growing up with their 'keep up with the Jones' attitude. Makes my blood boil.
Of course I would have loved a pure breed but it wasn't going to happen. It's not just that the puppy is cute and we've all fallen for him hook line and sinker, it's also that the poor thing was found born in a ditch too. We've given a canny little doggy a home and I'm determined to give him one heck of a life too.
I am a bit angry yeah. I'm fed up with justifying my actions to people or having them tell me that I shouldn't just make do in life. Make do? I'm making a path in my life, sometimes it doesn't go to plan but there's always something that comes along that blows me away and makes me rethink what it is I actually want. I'm not making do. I'm living my life with my family and taking seriously any opportunity that comes my way. Plans don't always work. you can't always have what you want, regardless of how much money you have. They can't see that. Money is what gives you a good life - doesn't matter if it's yours or borrowed. Darn check of them!
Sorry for the rant 3Dogs, everyone. Just sometimes I get frustrated... and yeah, sometimes angry at ignorance.0
