Morning guys - despite the rain we are happy today
GP rang first thing and I explained things to him and he has left the completed DS1500 Special Rules report form at reception for me to collect. So I rang CAB and they gave me an appointment for tomorrow at 11am could have gone today but was at same time as our seeing Stoma Nurse at local hospital ward. Feeling upbeat as we are finally getting the financial side sorted :j :j
The rain has actually stopped now and as I look out the sky is getting brighterMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Afternoon all. Just been catching-up. Nice to know Alan is getting out and about.
Good foods for the body are any that are ant-oxidents. These are fruits that if cut in half will retain their colour.
Things such as blueberries, blackberries, black currants and akai berries are good for you and have cleansing properties so are worth a try.Never Knowingly Understood.

Thanks for that Pat - love blueberries and blackberries, but find black currants too much work to get off the stalksand never had akai berries - where would I find them anyone?
Are you back to work yet or still enjoying your long holiday?Glad the form's are finely getting filled in, and hope you have'nt got the snow that we've got.
No snow here ........ plenty of rain  but no snow ......... yetHope you haven't got too much there hun ... keep safe on the roads
We went to see Stoma Nurse at 12.30pm and she was pleased with Alan's progress, but sad to hear that he can't have chemo and that prognosis is now only monthsShe said that Macmillan Nurse will contact us after her holiday and come to talk things over with us and answer any questions we have. She removed the last of the stitches around the stoma and gave me a few more tips for changing the bags, etc. She will come to see us at home in two weeks time
We then called round to the car boot cafe and had lunch there - fish & chipswith peas and it was yummy, then back home. Alan went to bed then as it tires him out going out of the house and he is still there as he wants to stay up tonight for the Chelsea match and/or Par 3 comp at Augusta before the Masters starts tomorrow :j

you cannot buy the akai berries, best place to get them is holland and barrett

MandyLou, that gives us so much hope :T :T, thanks for sharing that, and I can feel your anguish at what you went through to help your Nick :A I wish we had been there for you when you were going through it, but we are here for you now hun if you need an outlet if things aren't always good for you
Hey 3dogs!
Glad the dla is being sorted, you have far too much other stuff to worry about than money!
Thank you for your kind words, its good to have someone to talk to that you don't have to face and see the sympathetic looks, having a bit of a poo time at the mo, last oncologist appointment revealed that the bl88dy tumour was bigger so the treatment had not done as hoped.
Such a rollercoaster,' lets try something else', but theres always hope!
Carry on being as normal as possible its the only thing we can do.
Take care

Now why didn't I take any notice of the
second part of that quote!!???0
