They look so gorgeous asleep.

Looks like you really need them to call on Monday and help you through the minefield that is benefits! But you can register for the prescription charge exemption certificate without waiting for them.0 -
Launches went well. Didn't have any printed images in either Firstsite or the Library, but Firstsite is showing all 4,900 images in rotation on a projector so when I can find 8 hours to spare, I might sit and watch the lot.
There were 180 contributors and only room across both sites for 125 images. They are however, opening more exhibitions around Colchester so we will all have at least one image displayed.
Hopefully 3Dogs, you can get all the benefits sorted so that will be one less thing to do.Never Knowingly Understood.

The Launches sound really successful Pat :j
Mr 3Dogs is 62 now so gets his prescriptions free now anyway, Aesop
We have just had a lazy day today. Got up at 6.30 to give Alan his early tablets, then back to bed to get up about 9/9.30 am for brekkie. I had a nap while Alan was watching first half of earlier footie match, then he had a nap. He then got up for 3pm to watch Soccer Special but was back in bed by 4pm till 6.15pm so missed Sunderland beating L'pool :j :j. He is ready for bed right now but too early for his last tablets so I will take them in to him around 10.30 pm. We've got to get the timing of his tablets better and also have him changing his 'bag' first thing in the morning, before even having his early tablets, otherwise it can get tricky  :eek:Mr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Changing the 'bag' is a new thing to learn. I'm sure as time goes by, he will find it gets easier.
Will miss Alan's bootsale adventures. He was doing so well and all.Never Knowingly Understood.

Trying to remember how OH's Dad got his benifit's sorted, seem to remember it was Macmillen but it was the nurse atteched to the local hospice and the day care group.hth.

Evening guys - hope the weather has been as lovely where you are as it has been here today
I went to Ald! this morning and got that larger dog crate for Molly and it will be much much better for her :j great value for £24.99 :money: :money: Then I popped to Mr T for newspapers and then to car boot and had a wander round updating our friends there. Alan had gone back to bed when I went out but was up when I got back
I don't like to be out too long as I know Alan worries about if his bag leaks and he can't do it himself and asks me not to be longI know he will get used to it in time once the drainage bag has gone, hopefully on Tuesday. We've just had a panic. When he'd been in bed about half hour, he knocked on wall for me as bag had leaked. When I checked it was the drainage bag which had leaked but that in turn had loosened the other bag. Both bags removed and new ones attached - all sorted now by Nurse Susan
Thanks so much for the ideas about benefits, grants, etc and your email Aesop - my head can't seem to cope with this at the momentso really hoping that Macmillan people get back to me tomorrow as I just want them to deal with everything and sort it all out

Hun, there is loads to take in.
We are not expecting you to do it all in one go. I am concerned that Macmillan don't cover it all, or only tell you about some.
Wait and see when they call tomorrow, what happens.
If they don't cover everything, you don't have to contact other agencies straight away. You can do it in a month's time or even longer, as you feel able to cope with it.
We think you are amazing, the way you are being so strong and positive about everything. We don't expect you to do it alone. Remember we are here if we can help with anything. Even if it is making calls or emails on your behalf
Say hi to Alan from me.
Hugs to you both. xxx0 -

Hi 3dogs! Hope you are both doing well and enjoying the sunshine.
Nicks "special terms" DLA (high rate on both care and mobility) was sorted by the hospital, they sent a case worker round to fill in the forms with us, its like a blo*dy book so her help was appreciated!
I emailed MacMillan and then a lady named Jayne Mead (Welfare Advisor) called me back to discuss our needs and entitlements then she typed it all up and posted it to us with the names of forms to ask for and the departments to call.
Am off work for 9 days now Yay! We have Nicks cetuximab treatment at 1pm so don't like to go far once we're home, hoping the weather stays good so I can start sorting the garden!
