Heard from 3dogs just a wee while ago & Mr 3dogs was still waiting to go down to theatre.Has been waiting since yesterday & has had nothing to eat or drink since Monday :eek:

Train was running on time and my friend was waiting for me at P'boro station so got straight home, sorted out my things and drove over to Kings Lynn hospital to see Alan, who had just been transferred from Surgical Assessment Unit to a Ward 5 minutes earlier. He hadn't had his op yet and was getting fed up and very hungry/thirsty as he hadn't had anything to eat or drink since Monday evening. He can ask for morph1ne if pain gets too bad. I stayed with him from 3.30 pm to 6 pm, and he was going to try to have a nap when I left. The anaesthetist came about 5.30 pm and told us that there was only Mr 3Dogs and one other chap still to go to surgery so they were next, but that if an emergency came in via A&E they would take precidence

Just heard from Mr 3Dogs again and he is not happy coz he is still waiting, he is 7starving, thirsty and fed-up I tried to cheer him up earlier by telling him that his beloved Sunderland had gone one up in their Cup replay, but then I had to let him know that Middlesbrough had equalised in second half and now into extra time :eek:

Poor Alan! :eek: that's a long time without food and drink

Hope they operate tomorrow and he is finally out of pain.

I rang the ward about an hour ago and they said he'd gone down to surgery a few minutes before, and they promised to ring me when he returns to the ward to let me know how it went

OMG 3Dogs! I have just read the last few pages...hope you are OK Hun & big <HUGS> to Alan.

At least he is in surgery & the waiting is over...I bet he`s heading towards being Mr February at slimming club at this rate...bit of a drastic way to shed the pounds though:(

Hope all is well & that he recovers quickly.

Well, the ward haven't rang to let me know how Mr 3Dogs got on in surgery so they either forgot or it turned out more complicated than they thought :eek: though I am sure it's the former

Will have to wait till the morning now to find out how it went
