Ordered a Body Shop voucher this time from the rewards thingy.
    It is £10.
Most of the other rewards are £5.

I have sent an email to my employer I was with 12 years ago to beg for them to give me a job. The same HR person is still there that interviewed me all those years ago. I don't know if it is good or bad. I am hoping it is good.

I hope it is a good sign for you petal - good luck, I know you want to move back over there :D

Evening guys - well, what a day I have had :(:(

All ok with Mam today BUT Alan rang me this late this morning to say he'd been awake all night with pain in lower abdomen and feverish too. He'd got the pain over the weekend, on the right side, and thought he'd pulled a muscle walking the dogs in the deep snow as well as having to lift Bess up when she got 'snow-bound' and carry her part way, especially as it seemed to be from side to side yesterday, but it was all on the right side last night

I told him what to do, so he rang the kennels and they came and picked up the dogs and then rang 999 at 2.15'ish. Next I heard was from Linda, as I'd told him to get ambulance guys to leave keys with her, that she had the keys and Alan just gone off in ambulance. Then a text from him at 3.15 to say he'd been taken to Kings Lynn hospital and would let me have further details later

i have spend tonight trying to get info from A & E but all they would tell me was that he was waiting to be admitted to surgical ward, for exploration op. Alan later text me to say it was suspected appendicitis and waiting to be taken down to theatre, but later they said that op was scheduled for 10 tomorrow unless pain gets worse during night

I have changed my tickets for going back from Thursday to tomorrow Wednesday, and a friend is going to pick me up from the station as it is a 25/30 minute drive home. Then I can get up to the hospital to see him and find out what's going on and how he is

Oh dear, it doesn't rain, it pours comes to mind. Just after he'd just about got over his sciatica too :(:(

please try not to worry. Alan is in good hands and in the best place.

At least they can manage his pain and keep an eye on him.

You will be home before you know it, seeing Alan

Thanks for the hugs :D Alan has text me a few times now and I know he is scared - he hates hospitals and even the doctors, so doesn't want to be there, never mind be operated on  so will feel lots happier when I get there. Tickets for tomorrow all sorted now, as having problems before

Have a safe trip back. And Alan should be all "fixed" by the time you get there. Hugs from me too.

Hope so Marru ;) though he text earlier to say he wasn't sure when he was going down to theatre now :( He said he'd had an ok night as he was doped up with morphine and I told him it was amazing what some people will do for a 'fix' lol

I am sitting on the train now, all settled in though it doesn't pull out for another 10 mins

It was -3 when I left Newcastle earlier and from Durham the fields and side roads still have a covering of snow so looks like we just missed it up there

Just done my order for jacket potato with chicken tikka topping to have after York stop, about 20 minutes away I think - yum yum ....................... I love First Class, food, drink and free wi-fi to keep me occupied :j :j
