Well, after that excitement ............... I went out at 4.25 pm to go to see Mam and it took me 25 minutes to clear the windscreen. Small white hailstones rather than snow was falling but, with the icy wind, it was freezing as it hit the car and ground. As I walked to the car it was 'crunch crunch crunch'. The scraper wouldn't budge the ice on the screen, so I had to wait until the car warmed up and cleared it, so I didn't get down to the home until 5 pm when they were already wheeling the food trolleys back to the kitchens
Mam was sitting right up, with a beaker of soup at far side of table. I lowered her a little as she looked so cramped up, and checked the soup, which was very thick chicken & leek. There was no way Mam could have drank it out of the beaker's spout as it was so thick it hardly moved. Plus, she couldn't tip it up far enough and put her head back to get it out  anyway, she ate it happy enough from a spoon and then I got her some ice cream with a rolo dessert which she ate no problems too, but she couldn't manage any tea. When the carer, note I said carer not nurse who it should have been , came with her liquid paracetamol and nebuliser to put on her, I said about the soup and the beaker and she said they woulod remember that for next time - well she's only been in there for 14 months, so wouldn't know that yet would they?
Roads were worse coming home but no problems. Very icy underfoot with the frozen hail so we are going to have to check what it's like in the morning before deciding when to see MamMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Morning guys
Well it is still white and icy outside with little traffic moving in Mam's street, but I can see up to the top road which is a bus route and it looks a lot better, so I am just waiting to hear from my Sister as to what the main road is like beside her as that is the way we go to the home to see Mam
Alan rang this morning after having the dogs out and said there is 6 inches of snow there  Poor Bess's fur got all balled up with the snow and he had to carry her part of the way, and the snow reached Billy's belly in places ................... but the two of them loved it, bouncing around in it, sending it flying all over the place :j He had to shower Bess when they got home to get the balls of snow out of Bess's coatMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Between getting up at 10 am to white and icy, and picking my sister up at 11.30 am, the sun had melted most of the ice. The car was clear and our street was starting to clear, but the main roads had completely cleared and when we come home again, it had all melted. Mam was fine and ate well .... and had a laugh so that was good :j
I went to Mr T's afterwards and got some shopping but no real bargains other than using a few coupons and a £5 off £40 spend
Hope everyone is wellMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Afternoon guys - nice and sunny here with not a trace of snow or ice now
My Niece went down to see Mam this morning with her two girls and Mam was dressed and sitting in her chair in her room. My brother went down at lunch-time and Mam was fine, and ate her meal fine. I am going down later to see Mam, after slimming class, when my sister is there
Mr 3Dogs has text me that he lost 1 1/2 lbs this week, which is fantastic with me being away from home - well done him :T :TMr 3Dogs 3-7-12
