Phew - just completed Mr 3Dogs' Tax Return online - one and a half hours before the deadline   Panic at first when I couldn't find the log in details but found them in my book under H, for HMRC of course ;)

Beanie - Mr 3Dogs is ok, still has trouble with his back but manageable now, though he seems quite down at the moment, probably coz I should be home by now, but stayed longer with brother being unwell. I will be booking my ticket for going hom online tomorrow, but will be for Monday or Tuesday now, otherwise it would be too expensive

Boult - oh dear, back to work and those early starts   It will take quite a while to get back into the old routine, so take it easy hun

Trust me!, I'll be taking it as easy as possable, and I'll soon get use to getting up early, I'm more of a lark than an owl.

boult - hope today was ok for you.

3Dogs, fab news about seeing Mam sitting in a chair :j

I had my tooth out yesterday as could not take the pain anymore trying to eat food but I worked myself up into such a state, that I felt really ill when I got home. Still not 100% today and it is not my empty space hurting either.

Glad you've had the tooth out Aesop  and hope you are feeling better tomorrow :(:(

I went to see Mam at tea-time and she was quiet on her chair in her room, already tucking into her scrambled eggs with chopped tomatoes, and then the nice carer B brought her a yoghurt for her pud. She had, however, been leading them a merry dance all day. When they were getting her washed and changed in the morning, she was shouting at them and told them to stop and to !!!!!! off - now, I should point out that mam is a very quiet person normally and has never never swore and I don't mean that she never swore in front of us 3 kids, she never swore. Then the B sat with her for a while and she was shouting sometimes and laughing the others. In the afternoon she'd had a good laugh with B who was sitting with her again, listening to the noises coming from Mam's tummy

Anyway, she was good while I was there and they got her changed and into bed after dinner before putting the nebuliser on her. They never know which person they are going to get when changing or moving her, but it was the giggly, laughing Mam they got tonight and I had a big smile on my face as I waited outside while they were in with her. She was settled after her meds when I left

That's all I've done today ..... oh, other than booking my ticket back home for Thursday lunchtime ...... Mr 3Dogs will be happy at that ;)

Did get in a bit of a rage today when ringing electric company to see where my refund was   I changed supplier with effect from 28th January and already had £50 vouchers from new supplier over a week ago, but was owed over £86 from old supplier and had recieved a letter last week saying it would be paid back into my bank account sometime on or after 26th January

No sign of it in bank so I rang them today to find that they hadn't been able to send it to my bank as I had already cancelled my direct debit and they use that to make refunds. Well, as I didn't want another payment coming out to them, I had cancelled the direct debit the week before. I asked why they hadn't notified me of the problem when it occurred but she had no answer to that. So now, I have to wait 'about a week' for the cheque to come and then for it to clear at the bank. I am really annoyed at them as they were just sitting on my money and would have continued to do so until I chased it up

 just seen a fb request from DH's ex wife! I don't think so! Have never met the woman but have heard her voicemails to her daughter, and they weren't pleasant! And have been on the receiving end of her threats when we are up there.....

glad to hear Mam was in a good mood. And yes can imagine Alan is happy you will be back on thursday :D

  to FB request Aesop, and   to DH's eX - she sounds a lovely person

My brother went down to see Mam for lunch-time but she was sleeping and could hardly wake up to eat so only had a few mouthfuls of her food, though she did get a drink which is the main thing. I am going down for tea-time so will see how she is then. Carers said she hadn't had a tablet so she must just be very tired

No snow here yet, but have had a report from Kit that it is snowing in Portsmouth centre as she is there shopping. Steve told me it was -9 down their way this morning

    Hello Susan, it's me.

Blooming cold here the fountain in Portsmouth has frozen over. No snow yet.

Hope your mam is ok. Aesop look after yourself. Beanie thanks for text - I pulled a snowman after all. Gotta go. House is cold as workmen have taken the tiles off the roofie and am going to sit in front of fire.
