Bouldtj, would you have instructions for the hat? I have some DK wool I would like to make into hats to give to Loving Hands."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

I just wing it realy Marru, I'v never followed a patteren for a hat, just cast on 60,80 or 100 stiches and done double rib to the length of my little finger, then either stick with the rib or change to stocking stich till it's the legenth of my hand then do rapid decrease hth, and the stiches are child, woman and man size
I'v done a scarf for that charity Marru, and I'v joined the knit your square to give your share thread on the old style board.£71.93/ £180.000 -

I can't remember now if I told you about taking Billy to the 'fat club' at the vets. I've checked back and don't think I posted it. The Veterinary Nurse recommend it when he had his nails clipped last week
Anyway, Billy weighed in at 16 Kgs and she set his target weight at 12 Kgs, meaning he has to lose 25% of his present body weight  I took Bess too today, and she weighed in at 10.9 Kgs, with a target of 8 Kgs so she has to lose about 25% too
They had to order the R0yal Can!n food in for me as I opted for the larger bag (14 Kgs) so I am picking that up, and paying for it , in the morning, and Billy will get 3 meals a day consisting of 40 gms of this dry food, with Bess having 3 meals of 30 gms. No more treats or any of our food, just a dental chew per day each, and try to increase their walks. Mr 3Dogs is taking them for 3 good walks a day now, so that takes care of that part
I checked what they were eating and it was at least twice this at each of 3 meals, but topped with liver or kidneys or similar to encourage them to eat it. This was because Bonnie was yapping for food all the time and was underweight due to her illness, but this meant that, as we were trying to feed her up, we were overfeeding the other 2Since I took Billy to his fat club, the two of them have been on 120 gms of their normal food Bakers Small Dog Dry over three meals and they have been fine on it, so will be interesting to see how they react to the new food, which will have to be gradually introduced over a few days so as not to upset their systems
This means that everyone in this household, human and canine, are on dietsMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

sorry to hear the dogs need to diet, but it is good that it is has been picked up.
Well Alan will probably find he will lose more weight giving them these longer walks too

On that note, I will say goodnight and leave you with this:

Alan went down to car boot on his own and took just about enough to pay the one week's rent outstanding so that is good, especially as it was so quiet. He came home, had something to eat, put ice on his back for a while, and then went to bed, while I went to get my shopping
He is up now as I am cooking dinner, and has had the dogs out - he got to the farthest point away across the field when we had a bad hailstorm   He was soaking when he got back in, as where the dogs :eek:Mr 3Dogs 3-7-12

eek poor Alan.
We had a mini hailstorm here, and someone said it was snowing!0 -
Snow is certainly forecast for much of the country over next day or so, though looks dry for car boot for Alan for Sunday
I have been trying to get my bag sorted for going up North tomorrow. Taking bigger suitcase as I have Christmas pressies to take up, which included a pan set and bottle of booze  Alan came up with brilliant idea of taking the pans out of the box, which helps, and will wrap the bottles in my clothes to keep them protected, but case is going to be heavy  Still, Alan will lift it onto train for me, and I am getting picked up at other end, though I have to get off the train, over the bridge and though the barriers on my own with large wheeled case, holdall and large shoulder bag - might see if I can grab a porter's trolleyand someone normally offers to help me with my case getting off the train, though I admit to normally helping other people
Going to pack the case properly now, and then settle down to play catch-up on the Tossco threadMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Just get brave and ask someone to help you with your case.
I ask people to help me to get things on & off buses the odd time I get the bus  :rotfl:
Funnily enough was just thinking of your mum earlier.
