Evening all - the guy who is looking in on the dogs next door knocked tonight when he called round - still no word from neighbour so we don't know when he will be back  He said he fed them, took them in garden and mopped up the wees. We talked for quite some time and he agrees that Bruce is almost blind though I say totally blind. Neighbour had said to him last time that Bruce's eye-sight getting worse, but I told guy that something happened on Monday either before he went in garden or while he was stuck out there, and I still felt he'd had a stroke or something. He agreed that the dogs shouldn't be left like that in their condition and neighbour should take Bruce to vets when he gets back

As we were chatting, he asked if the van was ours coz it's the same type of van he'd been in for his accident and which was written off, so he has lots of spare parts from wreck, etc, which was good news, especially as I now know he only lives at the bottom of our street, which I hadn't realised ;) AND, when talking to him, our new neighbour on the other side who is still moving in, and he said that the stuff he had offered to Alan for the car boot needed to be cleared by next Wednesday which was his final date in old house, offering to go down and help Alan clear space in unit for it if necesssary. On hearing this, the guy looking after dogs said that he did house clearances down in London and was very interested that we did car boots as he could get us lots of things to sell. although he said he wouldn't want anything for them, I said we could come to some arrangement so he could make something out of it too - so Alan may have a good new supplier ;);)

Mind you, I commented to new neighbour that I hadn't seen his cat yet so he brought her out to show me - lovely big cat - and he asked how I felt towards feeding peoples cats if they are out/away, so I said 'no problems', of course :o:o   He did offer to look in on dogs if we needed

worried about your neighbour. something might have happened to him and no one may know to let you know what is happening. so sad about the dog :(

what a great conversation! :D and of course 3Dogs - big kind hearted soul will offer to look after/feed other people's pets.

I went to a new hairdresser today and she was telling me she fell on her job because she met the lady who owns 3 salons, not a hairdresser and wanted someone to run them who knew what they were doing. This Manager has great ideas for this salon! She used to sell designer stuff on behalf of people and have ladies' nights with the charge money going to charity, she is so clued up! looking forward to this side of the business taking off. Just wish I could fall into something worthwhile like that.

Morning all - we;ve been to the car boot this morning but gosh it was coldddddddd. Alan hobbled/shuffled around and we had a cuppa with our friend Stuart, then managed to move a few things in the storage units to get a chair out to bring home for Alan to sit on as it is one of those highback chairs which will be better for his back

Ker-nackered now we're back so had a bite to eat and going to have a lie down for a while. Couldn't get an appointment again so requested callback as he doesn't have enough meds for weekend and doc has just rang and will sort out meds for colection at surgery this afternoon, so I'll nip back into town at tea-time for it

Yes, they are popping in on Sunday :j :j

Well we both slept longer than we meant to and didn't wake up until 5.15 pm   so got up, had a cuppa and a bit to eat and then I went to docs to pick up Alan's meds but they weren't ready, in fact they couldn't find the 2 items already made up or the prescription so I had to wait over 40 minutes for her to look through everything in the dispensary   By the time I got home, and logged into the docs web-site, no appointments were showing for Monday

By the way, my neighbour is back at last  I went to see to dogs at 7.45 this morning before we wwent to the car boot, but when I opened the front door I saw that the back door was open, so just closed and locked the door again. When we went to bed this afternoon for nap, dog was barking in his garden, and when we got up dog was weakly barking in his garden. I was going to bring him in but lights were on and curtains closed next door so neighbour was in, and barking stopped before I went out to get Alan's meds

I need to speak to him about Bruce's condition but not in right frame of mind today - too down :(
