    Hello Everyone...

I have had a very bad bout of new year blues this year so I have rejoined the gym...I know that £30 a month is a luxury but I sometimes feel that my life is all work & sleep. I don`t drink, smoke or do much socialising so its my treat...I must say that I really enjoy my swim & saunas plus I`ve lost 3lbs in the first week:j:j

3Dogs I hope you, Alan,Steve & Andy have a brilliant day tomorrow...plus only another 5 days to go until you are totally debt free too...woohoo!!

That's good news about the gym - it really does give you a buzz when going - well done on the 3lbs lost too

Yes, only 5 days to go on my DRO :j :j :j :j

Alan really struggled this morning :( We got to car boot at 6 am and started to set up almost straight away. I helped as much as I could but it was painful to watch Alan working. Steve and Andy arrived around 9.30 am and after a cuppa and a bacon sarnie they helped out. The boys and I walked over to Mr T's for newspapers and picked up some 1p items ;);) The lads really did help so much, trying to take the heavy load off Alan who kept trying to lift heavy boxes  but with their help, we got packed away

The rent on the 2 storage units is £40 per week and we owed 2 payments for the Christmaas and New Year, plus todays £40 and £6 pitch fee and Alan took over £140 so was able to pay the rent up to date which was a fantastic bonus :j :j :j :j We went back to ours, left Alan to get himself to bed, and went to Morries, but the lads had to leave straight after that to get back early. alan was sound out and snoring until half an hour ago, when I woke him to have his dinner and watch Sunderland's FA Cup match which we Sky+'d he doesn't know that they won and that they drew Middlesborough in the next round so he will be pleased at result :j I am ker-nackered and so tired as I only got 1 1/2 hours sleep last night   and my back is really sore :(

But was lovely to see the boys again :j :j :j :j :j

And, when we were at Mr T's, our neighbour came round the car boot as he does most weekends, and alan told him what had happened during the week. He didn't know that the other chap had been in hospital and missed one day, and asked Alan to say sorry to me for the distress. He realises that Bruce's time is up now but just can't face taking him to the vets to be put down he was welling up Alan said but I said I would take him if he wanted so I will have to have a word with him tomorrow :(

Glad you had a good day with the boys.
Sorry Alan is still struggling but pleased the boys helped.
Glad that the rent could be paid up to date.

HI gang, just popped-by to check-up on things. 3Dogs, sorry to hear Alan is still struggling. I read you are having probs getting him a Dr's appt., do you not have a walk-in centre in your area ?. We have one in Colchester and because they do blood testing all the local GP surgeries have withdrawn that service from their list of what they do.

Mind you, calling it a walk-in centre is a bit of a joke. It used to be 5 minutes walk from the town centre, then they moved it 3 miles away.

Got round to changing surgeries myself over the hols. and booked an appt. to get my ears jet-washed. Now I can hear again.

I need to find an adjustable tailors dummy (f/m) ASAP to borrow or buy. My spouse has a load of clothes to list on Ebay but the photos I took with them on hangers looked flippin' awful.

SSA, instead of spending money at the gym, either sign-up for an allotment or buy yourself a Wii. I got one for Xmas (a Wii, not an allotment). I reckon 1/2 hour a day should see the weight drop (slowly) off.

  • hi all. had a lovely weekend and we were only too happy to help Mr and Mrs 3dogs at the bootie, its a shame we arent nearer as we would only be too happy to help out until Mr3dogs is back to his normal self.
We have just had two of the Woopsied lamb shanks from Mr M's that we purchased yesterday, they were really lovely. We have frozen the others to have on a later date.
hello to the rest of the gang and do hope that Boultdj has a better rest of the week, otherwise it might get expensive!
wave to everyone else and a big hug to beanie, north of the border!

Well, Mr 3dogs has been in bed all day other than gettin up, having his breakfast and then taking the dogs out, which was a mistake as he came back hobbling so he had to go back to bed. I got up very late and then went to slimming class - lost 1 1/2 lbs, thought it would be more as been very good but it's a start :D Alan got weighed at home and has lost 8 lbs  but that will need checked at class next week on their scales ;)

I called at Mr T on way home to get some ciggies and other bits for Linda, and also picked up some nice Turkey breast joints for £2.50, lots of whoopsied liver, kidneys, etc for doggies, and a few 1p items too ;) but realised I'd left my mobile phone at class and couldn't be botheres to go back for it, so had to ring when I got home and consultant will leave it at reception for me to pick up tomorrow - what am I like :o:o

Good luck at WW tonight Katie :D

Boult - not good for you - so you got a new halogen, will I still sent the entender ring to you?
