  • Morning all,

It's cloudy here today but I can see the sun trying to poke through so as soon as wm is done I will peg it out and hope 4 the best.

DD has a party today, the 3rd of 5 in a space of 3 weeks  I'm going to hang around and have a catch up with some of the mums,

Not really much needing doing here, will have a quick tidy through now and then it's only the rest of washing left :)

Roast chicken for tea with stuffing, I'm going to make some choc chip muffins later aswell for the week, yum yum.

Listed quite abit on Ebay yesterday and so far I have 7 watchers and 2 bids so not 2 bad for less than 24 hours, hopefully they will all sell :) These are all items I try to sell on a local facebook selling page first, as it's completly free and no p&p as the buyers are local and always collects. It's so much easier but not everything sells on there, so then I save it up for free listings wkends!!

Well I'm rambling now, so best go do something :o

Have a great day all xxxx

    Good morning all :)

Lazy day for me. The kids go to their dads on a sunday, so our dinner will be leftover mince made into a shepherds pie with veg (just me and hub, possibly 16 yr old)

I have a whites load to wash, which is already in the machine, just need to set it going.

Few dishes to sort, dog to feed, but other than that I think I'm gonna snuggle up with my husband on the sofa and watch movies all day :)

    Have a good Sunday all!
Proud to be dealing with my debts :T

Morning all - had a good night out last night - we (PTA) had organised a band in the local cricket club. was good, but BADLY supported by actual parents from the school. Still we think we made about £180 profit which is great. Would love to still be in bed, but have said that DS1 and 2 will go down to the local sunday market and collect for the Beavers. Trouble is - they need me with them - ugh! So coffee and toast later......

OH put up a lovely light in our dining room yesterday and my painted dresser is looking great - but I need some more sandpaper to finish it off. Trip to B&Q I think. Got a lamb shoulder yesterday in the reduced section - so we'll have that for tea. All the talk about knitting has spurred me on so will continue to knit - I think I'm knitting a poncho - but I only knit (not purl!) so will be seeing how we go! Got to summond up the energy and get up and go - maybe I'm sitting on it!!
Hugs to those in need xx
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.
  • Good morning :hello: a lovely bright one here

I was awake early for a Sunday & I've managed to be quite productive so far...brisket in the slow-cooker ready to feed 6 this afternoon, had brekkie, on the 2nd cup-o-tea & a load is already in the wm.

Off to have a shower shortly whilst hubbie vacuums, then off to stock up Step-d's groceries ready for her to go back to uni later.

Have a good day all xx

    Morning all,

My my the temperature has dropped today! currently snuggled in OH's dressing gown. I got to take my winter coat on it's first outing last night, sheepskin jacket was possibly my best idea ever. So toasty!

Had a good time at my dads, i'm going to house sit for him next weekend, a friend is coming with me so we'll have a nice girly weekend away.

Today the plan is a quiet one, get some washing done, sort kitchen out, little spruce up around the house, long bubble bath, and going to head to the shops to get some magazines and hibernate for the rest of the day! OH is working but still in bed (the joys of being self employed eh!)

Dinner is chicken tray bake, with roasties, yorkshires and pie for afters.

    Have a good day all
    xx

bathroom and shower room cleaned , kitchen swished and swiped, going to make my xmas cake today but i have forgotten to get butter so DH is duly despatched to get some :D

gammon for lunch , which i did yesterday in the SC, i wondered whether to use the cooking water to make a soup but i think it may have been too salty so i got rid of it

need to tidy up the garden a bit , managed to get loads of cherry toms yesterday , there are a fair few green ones but i dont think they will ripen now.
theres an awful lot of leaves to clear up , but i dont know whether to leave them because when i do, i turn my back and its just as bad

Got to bed late and had a rough nights sleep, so I've not been up long and I feel like poo! Lately instead of using expletives I seem to be calling people a "poo head" like a child hmm.
Need to put the wm on, get in the bath, make stock, plant tlc, do university work- everything!!! No chance of getting to lidl today, fingers crossed I can squeeze a walk in though.

bramble sistercas & flutterby feeling very jealous, wish i had a kindle!! flutterby do you use it for uni work? can you get pdfs on it? i know it would be a god send for my lectures if it did! i think i would want something with colour and a bit extra but a kindle is expensive enough as it is :(
    brighteyes, that sounds promising!
really wish i had all my junk form my parents here to sell but hey ho! maybe i could put some sealed make up/toiletries up but i don't know how well they sell when i'll eventually use them.

My flatmate studies nutrition and has to do a project promoting her own health initiative, she wants to do something aimed at students but is a bit stuck as to what will actually work and could only relate it to pulling!! Being on this board means I had 12938447 ideas for it and she really liked my one about introducing a presentation at freshers week encouraging batch cooking by showing a video of a simple batch recipe (eg mince=cottage pie, spag bol, chilli, pizza) then showing the money and health(ahem) savings over a number of weeks represented with activities in london, gadgets, drinks at our local club, calories saved, health benefits etc compared to ready meals and take away. With shopping list/recipe leaflets/posters in halls of residence. They could even do a second session in our november enrichment week with a competition for people to submit their own cheap healthy recipe videos/photos to win a sainsburys gift card or a booth at a club(i know this isn't exactly healthy but they'd probably go anyway!).
I think I got far too carried away about it :o
Living cheap in central London :rotfl:
