I managed to get a set for £14.73 today. Showed the girl the xmas catalogue with the lower 25% off prices in, and she adjusted the prices to those manually. Then the £10.00 offer price came off, she then took the cheapest item off as well for the 3 for 2 offer, so came in at £14.73 for the set - very happy
Thank you very much for this It was still coming up at £29.97 and I went SA and she went away and asked her manager and said NO it was only the items in the Christmas catalogue that was reduced I had to fight my corner and say it says choose your doll, outfit etc so again she went back to manager again NO so told her I wasn't willing to pay that and that is was disgraceful she was not honouring the price in the catalogue 3rd time to manager Eventually;) was allowed it for £19.97 didn't dare ask about 3 for 2 as:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:thought if staff didn't lynch me the queue behind me would
thanks again:TQue Sera, Sera0 -
Seen a few of these dolls on amazon at massively inflated prices (one doll on its own for £40,a pj set at £14.
Cheeky sods, bet they bought them cheap and are trying to cash in. I hate that, grab a bargain for your kids or friends but buying and selling kids toys at a massive markup is rotten and cynical.
I could even have sympathy if they got one say at 14 then sold it at say 20 or 22 with p&p so just making a small amount, but to try to exploit kids and their parents at what already is the most stressful time of the year is immoral. They are even worse than the big supermarkets who lets face it always make big profits on these sort of items.
Like last year when people were buying up all the zhu zhu hamsters and trying to flog them on at double and even treble the price, shame on them.

Well I'm glad I didn't take the kids with me today - was in Argos for over 20 mins pointing at the Christmas and 3 for 2 leaflets. I got the discount of 25% off but they would only discount the ones shown in the Xmas catalogue (?!!) but luckilly I was after the Sophie doll anyway and I'm sure my daughter won't mind the accessories. I then had to argue out getting the 3 for 2 discount (£5.24).
I stood my ground for ages as the 3 for 2 promo materials clearly states on the front that the 3 for 2 is on top of all other price promotions. Just as I was about to give up, the SA obviously was feeling the same and gave me the discount. In the end got the doll, dress and handbag accessory for something like £14.73. I couldn't wait to leave the shop tho, felt like a right miser!0 -

I got it for my nine year old daughter, I did ask her first though if she would like one and what she thought about them. Her response " Your never too old for dolls" lol:dance: :dance:0 -

Sorry you had such a tough time, the staff were really nice and helpful when I asked about it, and let me pick any of the dolls ect. I am sure you could go back and swap the accessory and outfit for different ones if you aren't happy with the ones you got. :dance:0 -
I bought this for my friend's 6 yr old daughter and when my 12 year old saw it she loved it
I did have to remind her it was a present and to put it back in the boxes:rotfl:This from the 12 yr old who gave all her dolls away when she turned 10

Are they only selling them in argos?
Was going to get up early and do a dash to the sainsburys toy sale on thurs and wonder if they might have them?
Was thinking of getting one for my soon to be 4 yr old who loves dolls, but the 8 yr old saw me looking at them online and said they are lovely and its cool to be able to dress them up, so looks like I will need 2 lol.
Probably a bit old for my little one at 18 months-but if there was an offer too good to miss on 3 together I would get her one and put it away for a year or 2.

Think I answered my own question found a link online that says the shopping group argos are in own the exclusive rights to chad valley products in the uk, hmmmm.
Think I will struggle to get to argos this week with it being half term-hard to hide things from the kids lol. At least with the sainsburys sale I can do a mad early dash to be there when they open at 7 and get back for around 8 ish when OH sets off for work so hopefully the kids won't know.
May have to hang on till next week and see what offer is on then.

Could a kind person please tell me how this works out at £14.73. I have sophie, the bag accessories and military red coat outfit reserved for today (dont actually mind which accessories or outfit tho)but it is showing online as 29.97. I dont have a copy of the christmas catalogue, is it less in there? I'm not too worried about arguing the 3 for 2 but would love to get the three items for 19.97? Is the catalogue in stores still? Any help gratefully received. Thanks0
