Designafriend Argos £19.97 Cant recommend quality enough!

Guys,

a little confused - can someone shed some light please.

As i understand it

Offical price is £29.97 - I dont have a christmas catalogue to bargain with the SA and point out the 25% off - the 3 for 2 is over since monday. Can someone explain how I might be able to get the full set for less than £20. (i need to buy two dolls)

There seems to be plenty of stock in my local only a mile away.

The only way is to find the christmas catalogue instore (there's loads of them in my store) and use that to show them so they can correct the system.

I'm not sure what the expiry date says in the catalogue though for the 25% off so that might have ended too.

Yes, the lady adjusted each price manually on the till to the offer price. Then the till took off the £10 for the special offer bringing the total in to £19.97. The 3 for 2 offer is over now, so you wouldn't be able to get that added on.

I bought a set while still £19.97 and the doll (Freya) is so pretty. The burgundy velvet party dress is made of thick velvet and is beautifully cut in an A-line shape. I was so impressed I went back and got a Sophie doll, snow outfit and undies.

Nothing about the dolls shouts 'Argos'. Everything is packaged beautifully in boutique boxes and looks expensive. In fact it looks better than many toys sold in the bigger department stores.:eek:

Really wanted to get another set but no Ellie or Alesha dolls in stock anywhere near me

Just bought my daughter Ellie the Sophie Doll set, (gave up trying to get an Ellie) with the glasses and it is wonderful, firstly Ellie looks just like the Sophie especially with the glasses on!

Would highly recommend.

I wonder if it is possible to let Chad Valley know how impressed we are?

Argos have some half price toy offers on for this week (ends 2nd nov) so I wondered if the Christmas offer only kicks back in after that ie it only runs when no other offer is on?

It appears still no Ellie or Alesha in stock anywhere... I'm hoping stock will be replenished before Christmas.

Also I noticed the under the description for DesignaFriend dolls on the website it now says price valid until 15th November....I wonder if they will be on sale again?

I'm chasing this up with Argos on facebook as its advertised in the xmas brochure as 25% off then £10 off when you buy the set, i have been chasing it for over a week now and just get told they are looking into it. It can't take that long to figure out that they've mispriced/advertised it. I feel like i'm being fobbed off
