    sorry, wasnt clear in posting

My brother took to shop, left it there with a quote, they fixed one of the issues (keyboard not working) and then wanted a another £150 to fix the rest of issue, he hasnt picked it up as we have both been working since, but had to either pay for the repair work so far, pay for the extra, which is nearl £200, we figured perhaps was best to leave it, and pick it up when we cam

You can buy a new(or nearly new) PC for £200.

I wonder how the 'keyboard not working' issue was fixed. :)

Can't do anything about fixing the PC then.

Yeah, exactly.. when they rang and said would be £200, we said , umm no thanks

I dont trust them, personally... seems like a rip off, but legit company

So he either had to pay them £200 or buy a new PC pretty much, by looks of it

Perhaps you can ask them what they did to fix the 'keyboard not working' issue and what exactly they will do to justify the other £150?
    Then let us know.

Have they actually done anything or are they claiming the £50 for just looking at it?

Yeah thats a good idea really

They have a £35 no refund deposit for looking, I didnt speak to them personally but they apparently said they think its virus related, Im not sure, but we had the latest antivirus protection from Kaspersky on there.

So you gave them £35 plus a PC and they said you can have it back working for £200. Mmmm... sounds like quite a profitable line of business.
Can you so no thanks, I'll just have it back unrepaired and you can keep the deposit, which they'll keep anyway?

If it's virus related, then why £150 more? Can be done for free.

    Yeah exactly

Thats the plan now, to go shop, pick it up and loose the deposit, though they might want paying for fixing the keyboard issue, im not sure if they discussed that with my rbother or not

Fixing the keyboard issue, but not the mouse....This sounds like nonsense. Retrieve the PC.
