Dont get too bogged down in the dispute. Open it, say the frame is cracked and upload any relevant photos if there are any, then escalate the claim.
If you also add within the claim that you don't feel you should pay the returns postage, ebay *may* give a voucher or label for you to return the item.
Don't do anything until ebay tell you to. If you need more help come back here.
But, I cannot stress enough, that you need to be clear and direct in the dispute.

If you state that the seller refused to accept Paypal then maybe you'll stand a better chance with ebay, as a seller can't refuse Paypal.0
