    Mortgage-free Glee!
Still feeling very jetlagged, despite a good night's sleep. Infact dog woke me, prowling around and I was shocked to find it was 8.45!! No wonder he wanted out! Anyway, ws able to watch the rugby...devastated at result, but very proud of the way they played. Oh yes, Welsh here too!!
BB so sorry to hear of the week you've had. Very sorry to hear about your aunt. Hope hings now much better on the OH front. Mollie - sad news about your op. No wonder you're feeling down atm.
Have done shopping, but managed to forget to get meat for tonight's stir-fry! Told you my brain was still addled! However, DH has now gone back for that, bless him. Have done one more load of washing, but probably too late to get it dry outside, so it will have to hang in the conservatory. need to do a little ironing later. Hope ou're all having a good afternoon. take care.

  • Let's try again, afternoon all,

I'm still very upset about the rugby result, but so proud at the same time!! Well done boys, they were the better team :T

Last night dd had her investiture at Beavers last night, she's been going about 5 weeks now and she loves it. It was great to watch, her little face was lit up the whole time :T I was having a lovely time until I saw the amount of badges she was given  8 badges to be sewn on so that's what I'll be doing tonight during X factor.

After the rugby, I was so angry/upset I managed to clear a load out of dd's room in frustration :rotfl: worked out rather well as its free listing on Ebay so they will be added in a bit :T

OS wise not really much else today, not even sure whats for tea now I feel so deflated :( It's amazing what a game of rugby can do to you!!!

Well I'm off to Ebay now, have a great day all

So sorry about your aunt, sending a hug and also for anyone else in need xxx

bargainbird lovely to have you back but so sad to hear about your problems and the loss of your aunt (((((Hugs)))))

Have had a busy morning DH has cleaned all the windows but found a few loose roof tiles last week when he did the gutters so he is replacing them now DS is out helping him.

DD has just left for work until 10pm tonight, I will be so glad when she finishes that job.

I have caught up with all my paperwork and filing this morning which was long overdue, so I know where everything is now. I also did one load of washing and am up to date on that, only the ironing to do now.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

  • Bright eyes, having seen two boys through beavers, and one now in his seccond year at cubs, I recommend letting wondaweb or fabrice glue become your friend. Life is tooooooooooo short to spend sewing on badges. X

Late afternoon for me, have a lodger for a while, ds3 turned up last night with his friend, who has a blackeye and a split lip. From what I could work out he has had a fight with his dad who in return has given him a blooming good hiding and booted him out:eek::eek: he is just 16.
So called the police from mine and they came out and took a statement from him my sis took us to a and e to get him checked out and the police asked if he could stay at mine for the night. Now where I dont really want to get involved I couldn't see a young lad out on the streets so said yes. His mum has been on the phone to me the first she knew of all this was at 6 this morning when she got home from work. She is coming round this evening to bring him some clothes for a few days and a chat with him .So I will have to ring the benefits agency first thing monday to let them know.Poor lad apparently he got a bit gobby to his dad , I know first hand what that is like but I would NEVER hit any of mine.
Now breathe.................Hope everyone is well, it is beautiful here today, if a tad chilly. Dd is at her friends today and tonight , they are going to the cinema with friends parents and then out for dinner as a birthday treat for her friends birthday, lovely and quiet without her;);).
Must must get the bottom windows cleaned over the weekend , haven't manage to do it so far. Have a chilli bubbling away in the slow cooker for dinner tonight , and have chicken for dinner tomorrow with chocolate cheesecake for afters.
Right , going to go and give woofer a good brush, he is moulting everywhere.Enjoy the sun if you have it:)

    Oh UOLYPOOL,
You really are having your fair share of teenage troubles, how very kind of you to take the lad in. Regardless of how lippy he was he certainly doesn't deserve to be beaten so badly.
I hope his Mum is a better parent and helps sort things out for all your sakes.

    CANDYGIRL,
Your bound to be worrying about your Mum and Friend and that will cause you stress which in turn brings on panic attacks, when you accept what is causing you to not be quite yourself then try to take it 1 hour at a time and possibly have a word with your GP.
Try explaining to your OH what you're going through, sounds like he's never had to deal with it.
Thinking of you Hun, please take care of yourself.

Tell me about it Betheebee, I just get dd sorted and now have this to deal with.I reckon I just have a beacon that lights up and attracts troubled teens;). Which is why I am thankfull that in general mine are well behaved and quite level headed.
His mum is a lovely woman, but timid, her hubbie is very overpowering and in your face so I'm not to sure what will be happening in their house presently, I am more than happy to have him stay until things are sorted as he is a lovely boy he has slept at ours many times and is always a polite young man around me, however I cannot say for how he is at home. But again nothing warrents a parent belting their child. His dad in my eyes is a bully always has been and I doubt always will be.
