  • Yes, is it just me or does it automatically log you out if you attempt to delete a direct debit? It does have one redeeming feature though, it's very quick. Pages load almost instantly.

I had the same issue. It seems you can not delete a direct debit, that has never been drawn upon.

You need to phone them up, and ask them to delete them.

well thought everything was okay, that was until I checked the old account and noticed a dd was due out monday. Will 100% be clossing soon, although using their fee free od for cheap loan
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

I suddenly have some doubts. I *think* my completion date was somewhere around 25/11 (have to check tonight). My salary is paid every 28th of the month EXCEPT in December when we are always paid earlier (19th this year), therefore potentially had 2 payment on the same calendar month and none for the following. So, I wonder if I should do a quick transfer of £800 out and in again to ensure eligibility?

On my recent statement I noted a sentence at the bottom of the stating which says:-
"charges for the period 5/12/11 to 4/1/12 to be applied 23/1/12
    Debit Interest £0.08"

On checking the same sentence, different dates/amounts was on the last statement and on checking the date on this statement there is nothing showing on my statement.

There were a couple of dates when I went overdrawn and I am wondering if thats what it relates to.

Does anyone know to what these charges relate and the debit interest bit?

Co-op allow you to go overdrawn without charge, so long as you have not been overdrawn in the past 366 days. After that they charge interest. They normally give between 21 and 28 days before applying the charges to your account.

So on the 23/1/12, they'll take £0.08 from your account.

    Thanks

As it is a new account and I took advantage of the free overdraft for 90 days I assume this is a paper exercise only as on the date given on the previous statement nothing has been taken from my account this month.

    As per the T&C's:

9.A credit of £200 will then be paid into your account within 4 months of the above criteria being met.

    So:
    1st payment November
    2nd payment December
    3rd payment January
4th payment February <- Sometime around here I would say.

I don't think anyone completed the switch before November, so little chance of anyone getting anything in January, but it could also be as late as June (within 4 months of making the 3 required payments)
  • one of my direct debits never switched over to co-op...odd...hope that isnt an issue :/
