Hi, pay day hooray! had some problems with my mint card - paid off £134 but worried the might have put an arrangement to pay on my file - which would be a disaster.

good news i won £2.80 on lottery so 80p up lol

I am going to try paying some cash off my OD instead of my cards I have had the OD for 12 years and its upsetting me so I am doing a shift in the restaurant tonight and will put £50 in OD acct, I already have £100 going in there front pay and I am going to change all my pennies and pay them in too, I have 3 items ending on ebay this weekend so that might go in too. £2500 to go will update after payments go in :)

going to do an Ald1 shop with my £5 voucher from mirror this week.

    So situation now:

I was told I was going to be made redundant in October - subject to consultation so I left I started a new job - bit higher paid but 70 miles away this was in January

I was communing by train - using Tesco clubcard deals on train tickets and buying monthly to reduce costs but the 2 hrs each way were really hard on my family so we moved

We are renting out our house for £100 more than our mortgage costs, we are renting a new and bigger house 25 minutes walk from work, I have put my car off the road and I am selling it.

I have taken my son out of nursery - costs here are crazy £44 per day - can't afford it

I have had to give up my second job - DH still not working due to depression

Our biggest issue at the moment is stupid mortgage company messed up my payments when I tried to change the dates which has resulted in me paying 1.5 mortgage payment per month for June and July as they didn't take May payment - their error and I have complained/cried etc but not sorted yet

Still trying to live a low cost lifestyle - our location is good for that now lots of parks and free events!

    Thank for reading

    Hi
I need to vent, work is not great, not enjoying my new job, very stressful and it unnecessary. I won't go into too much detail except to say that I was lied to at interview and my permanent job is now subject to funding and will end 2015 and I have been here 9 months and I still have no contract, terms and conditions and I was due a pay rise at the end of my probation and an incremental rise in April which I have not received.

Having got to the point where I borrowed £300 from my sister and I have had to use payday loans to buy food - I am paying them back early every time, I have now taken a second job waitressing but the hours are nearly the same as my full time job so I'm doing 37.5 hrs week days and 25 hours in the evenings.

    A bit exhausted!

Family are good and love our new house and location - that's the positive, I wish I had time to enjoy it like they do :(

I'm still doing my Masters Degree, and passing my modules just about.

I recently made a bit of spare money making a wedding cake for my friend which I was impressed with lol, but then the money had to be spent on damage to the house I rent out :( such as life eh

Hope everything going a bit better for others

Debt is up! now £14461.43p not including a £1000 Wonga loan which will be paid off in full next week. This is a nightmare and I cannot get out of it - especially as we only have my income - feel completely useless today :( worse thing is only had £28 to spend on groceries for 5 of us this week and over the next 2 months I have 2 £313 council tax payments to make as I am overdue - things is not good!!!!

Right situation has changed again, time for an update

My house that I own is under offer put it on the market 2 weeks ago as tenants had decided to move out and I couldn't bear the hassle of renting it out again, plus it needs some work which we can't afford. Amazingly we had an offer within 10 days which we have accepted - just £5K under asking price. So far the buyers have not submitted their proof of affordability (not sure how long this takes?) so remaining calm in case this falls through.

Once house sells my situation will become very different as the house has- after fees etc- got £55000 in equity in it. ARGH! This means we will be debt free with over a years worth of salary in the bank. Whooppeeeee. (REMAIN CALM LOL)

I will be able to give up my second job when house has sold I have been doing 25 hrs a week on top of my full-time job which has been exhausting and I really miss hubby and the kids who I barely see.

Debt is already down a bit - which is great but we are still struggling at the moment and until the house actually sells we are paying mortgage and rent which is a nightmare and I am dreading the next few months.

I have a new job - with the same company and with the same pay but much more responsibility and much more interesting work - should help with future career.

So good and bad at the moment but light at the end of the tunnel.
