Hi Natalie, how are you? Thought I would pop by and say hello, we sound like we are in similar(ish) situations! I too earn around the same as you and am on Maternity Leave, which unfortunately comes to an end on 1st Nov
Dreading going back to work, but needs must in the money department!!
My current diary is also my third (I think!!) as I keep wandering off the debt busting and get side-tracked - but this really has to be my last one as its driving me crazy having this debt still lurking!!
I have 2 kids, DD age 4 and DS now fast approaching 1!! Would love another baby but we only have three bedrooms and the kids rooms are tiny so would have to move house, which right now wouldn't be possible moneywise.
You sound like your items on ebay were a hit with the buyers! I guess its just the luck of the draw and who's looking for what when you list things! I've been going through the kids wardrobes and need to do my own soon too.
Do you do meal planning for your food shopping? I find that a big help when trying to cut down on spending.
Anyway, I am rambling now, but I will subscribe to your diary and keep popping back to see how your doing. Feel free to pop in to my diary anytime, I am baaaad at keeping it updated, but trying really hard to go on every day to keep my motivation up!
Talk Soon! :wave:0 -
Hi Crapwithcash
I am still ill with my horrible flu - but it can't last much longer now!
How long have you been on leaave for? I only have 6 months off, would have been 9 if OH was working. I am glad I had another baby - even though we don't really have room as we have our boy now, it harder when they outnumber you though!
I do try to mealplan, I find it hard Im veggie, OH and the girls arent, we try to eat as many veggie meals as poss. but DD2 is allergic to egg so we do sometimes end up eating allsorts - need to work on this a bit maybe
I have subscribed to your diary - need all the help I can get
Thank you

Morning Natalie,
Another similarity, I'm a veggie too! LoL! Do you eat Quorn stuff? I got three items for £5 in Asda the other week, and I think Tesco do that too now and again, I usually stock up on the mince and pieces when they have that offer on.
Hope you start to feel better soon, there's nothing worse than feeling ill when the kids are raring to go all the time.
I've been on Maternity leave since last Christmas, so it will be 6 weeks short of a year when I go back, think thats why I am dreading it. I only got full pay for the first 20 weeks and then went on to SMP for 20 and am now officially back but using 2 weeks hols. Taking the SMP for so long is what has made me so hard up but I'm glad I had the time off with the kids.
Is it two girls and a boy or two boys and a girl you have? We now have one of each which is nice, I like having a pink room and a blue room upstairs it still makes me smile when both their bedroom doors are open and you can see the girly stuff and the boy stuff too!
How are your ebay things looking, do you have watchers? I listed a load of clothes yesterday so have 37 active listings - surely some of those will sell! Am going to have a look today and see what else can go.
Will talk to you again soon!

:T Woo Hoo for the ebay sales! It definately motivates you to list more bits and pieces when things are selling! I have 14 items ending in about half an hour, 7 have watchers but no bids yet so not sure if they will get last minute 99p bids or not! If no I will just relist!
Happy Ebaying, and hoping your feeling a bit better!!0 -
Feeling much better today - thanks CWC
15 things listed on ebay
Had a very bad emotional day yesterday - sometimes our situation makes me sad! mainly because of OH - depression can be a very selfish illness!
Payday tomorrow - would say hooray but £700 down this month.DMP 2021-2024: £30,668 £0 🥳

Hi
well its payday and due to the pay drop I cannot afford anything extra off my cards, I am relying on my ebay stuff to help me with that - 18 items, loads of watchers and £9 worth of bids so far - ending in 4 days, I have 3/4 of a tank of petrol and a massive pot of vegetable soup. Off for a free day out today - lots of craft stuff for middle DD to do and mum treating us to cooffee and cake
