Clearly this is another point that's very important for you to win
That’s the way you have chosen to characterise it.
Which doesn’t change the fact that you were incorrect in your accusation of dishonest. So the correct terminology would be that its “very important for me to set the record straight”.

In exactly the same way as I’m not inclined to allow Rinoa to get away with his inaccurate, offensive, accusations.

You have a small problem though.
Your insistence on "winning" every point means no-one can tell when what you're saying is accurate or whether you're simply sticking to your guns as you can't bear the thought of backing down to one of "the enemy".

I am surprised that someone who proclaims their insight to all who would listen can't see that such a situation exists.

Compare and contrast that position with someone who is more than happy to say sorry, back down when shown to be wrong and view it as no big deal at all. How do you think they may be perceived by others?

I'd imagine 360° feedback at your place of work is a ten round affair with the "winner" decided by two falls or a submission?

Well JB, that’s an even more long winded way of saying I was correct and your accusations were devoid of truth.

What was it you were saying about it "being very important to win".
What was it you were saying about it not being able to bear the though of "backing down".

I have to tell you, I may be a lot of things, but I try not to be a hypocrite.

You however appear to be acting exactly in the manner you have chosen to define.
As a wise man once said...

  • geneer seems to be having another mental breakdown.

Now he is creating a huge argumentative post to robustly argue against JB's assertion that he doesn't like to lose an argument.

    Bonkers.

I also didn't realise that geneer had been PPRd twice and simply remembered the week or so of peace we had on this board (after PPR #1) until he was reinstated. As far as the deletions of posts are concerned, the common denominator in all of this is geneer and it comes as no small surprise that any thread that he dominates ends up with mass deletions from the mods.

I do wonder when they will see sense again and realise the way to reduce their workload and prevent their time being wasted is to PPR geneer permanently. Three times a charm and all that.

Oh I rather think the forum team is more savvy and aware of reality than you think they are.

Hence, my PPR was removed in less than 24 hours.
And no doubt why you and I'veseentheLight were also asked to desist from pointless and antagonistic posts.

Something which you appear to be unable to do.

I can't speak for ISTL, but I was actually requested to report your antagonistic posts instead of responding to them. After this, your latest explosion of posts, I fully expect them to mention it again.

The Board Guides are voluntary and the moderators have their hands full without having to deal with your desperate cries for attention.

Because it wasn’t an honest apology and, lets face it, you set out to further antagonise. To go for the “win” in other words.

I'm sorry you weren't interested in why I had made such an erroneous accusation. I wasn't to know that, but it certainly was an honest apology.
I know this for a fact as I made the apology.
You can only assume it not to have been honest. An incorrect assumption as it happens.

I guess you're now accusing me of dishonesty just as I originally had accused you.
    Will you be apologising?

The key point no doubt being that posters should avoid antagonistic posts, or risk PPR.

You, and a number of others, seem to think they are immune to this requirement.
    You are not.

After this, your latest, explosion of posts I fully expect them to mention it again.

Particularly if your accusations of mental breakdown were reported.

Yet you are the poster who has stormed into a discussion that has nothing to do with him to make ad hominem personal attacks.
So good luck up there on the moral high ground.

    Yet another baseless assertion Rinoa.

By "most" you mean a handful of posters who have found themselves on the losing sides of various discussions.

I see some of the gang have popped in to thank Johnny Bravo's extended non-apology.

I'veSeenthelight - posts directed at me deleted recently.
Rinoa - posts directed at me deleted recently.
Renovationman - posts directed at me deleted previously.
Robmatic - stalks me across much of the forum interjecting witless one liners. Posts may well have been deleted - who would notice really.

Not the most credible group of "unbiased" individuals.

It appears that you dragged me into this and, seemingly, you're now regretting it.

However, I'm bored with your attention seeking and so, in the words of the dragons, "I'm out".

Theres two reasons I am not regretting it.

    1) I merely stated a fact. You did previously have posts deleted and, by your own admission, were asked to avoid "responding" to my posts in an antagonistic fashion. The same advise was given to me about you.

    2) You have clearly been unable to moderate yourself appropriately. So that the stark reality between your posturing on the moral high ground and your actually contributions are in sharp relief.

For the record, historically, theres a been a fair bit of the "mea culpa I let myself come down to to geneers level" amongst nearly all of the posters who have currently decided its appropriate to engage in a kind of collective bullying.

But as you've clearly demonstrated, you do seen quite capable of falling to "geneers level" with little encouragement from Geneer.

In my experience this is somewhat typical. It certainly should cast doubts on the consensus reality you are desperately trying to form.
