When you open the folder, is there a set up icon, if so, click that if you have not already done that

I did restart after downloading and extracting but I will try again



When I open the folder i get invitation to run and then it goes to 7 Zip self extracting archive when I click on extract I get destination already contains processed file

Can you run CCleaner, click tools, it should go to the uninstall list, can you either look for the VIA software AC97 and click to uninstall it if there, then run the scan for issues and fix those if any, then restart the PC and retry the file you downloaded, if it installs, restart the PC and hopefully you will hear the log on bit. If you cannot see it in the uninstall list, can you click save to text, bottom right, then copy and paste that to the thread.

If you still get nothing for sound, you can either download the same file you did yesterday in case it was damaged in transit, or try getting the other file from here, top link. Delete the file you have already got for VIA first.

You need the XP 32bit Audio and the Chipset Driver.

I can't see VIA AC97 file

I have uninstaleld the first download I did then installed the XP 32bit Audio and the Chipset Driver. Restarted the PC
