Sometimes the approvedfoods website has gluten free products so it could be worth checking every week in case some have come in.

Doesn't it cost £5 delivery, if so this would work out expensive. I have a friend who does Suma and I am waiting for her to put in another order and will bulk buy my cereal then.

I don't order that often, usually when there are things I will use that will bulk up the order to make it financially sensible. Sometimes they do a free delivery or cheaper delivery offer but you have to keep watching for it.

Have a huge pot of broth in the slow cooker - ham shank, bag of soup mix, carrots, onions, parsnip and turnip (DH tutted that veg were going soft so used up lots.) Just tried some and I really like it so will have that tonight with home made loaf and anyone being picky can have scrambled egg on toast.

I want to use up mushrooms and bag of peppers tomorrow so will defrost chicken thighs and make chicken lasagne. Everyone enjoyed the meat and veg pie last night as I did not tell them it was remains of lamb joint etc. Used a pretty pie dish, special offer puff pastry on top with decorative pastry shapes and good gravy .

Still have kitchen appliances in boxes after kerfuffle with british gas over the last week but have a good all round company coming to look at kitchen on Monday so fingers crossed.

Afternoon ladies, I could have sworn I posted earlier, I think it must have been yesterday I was thinking of:rotfl::rotfl: Short term memory loss;).
Anyhow its grey here , but still dry. so have washed sons bedding as he had a nosebleed in the night, so was off school today as he was really washed out by it. Poor old boy ;);), so he has had a webcam maths and english lesson today so he doesn't fall behind. Is now curled up on the sofa catching 40 winks before the rest charge through the door.We are having left over beef casserole with veggies and crusty bread as couldn't be bothered to portion it up and pop into freezer for h/m ready meals. Least it hasn't gone to waste.
Ds2 got his parcel that I sent up on monday, it had lots of bits and bobs in , herbs and spices out of my stock cupboard rather than him going out to buy his own, some washing powder from stocks erm loads of stuff but can I remember ........nope I can't:o. Did put in a homemade fruit cake that I made over the weekend .Double wrapped it and put into a old sweet tin . Cost me nearly a tenner in postage, but will keep him going for a bit.
Dd is still behaving :j:j, she hasn't even bothered seeing her dad since she came home, but talks to his girlfriend every other day, they really bonded whilst she was there, don't feel threatened by it though the g/f seems level headed apart from the fact she is with him:cool:.
So off I go again , just realised had no lunch, must stay away from the cake and biccys;)
Have a lovely afternoon and evening all

    Hello all,
I haven't been here for a while due to me being in hospital. I fell down the stairs on Saturday, I had my memory foam matress topper delivered so deceided to put it on the bed and change the sheets. As I was carrying the laundry I tripped on the sheet that I hadn't gathered up properly and went from top to bottom taking the hand rail completely off the wall, even the steel bracket was bent. I was rushed to hosp all strapped up in one of those body boards that inflate as I had severe back pain. Many x-rays and tests later revealed that I took full force of the fall on my right kidney area. The muscle was ripped and the kidney swollen so they kept me in and fed me mega doses of Morphine. Now the agonizing pain is bearable enough to be discharged with a suitcase full of drugs that makes me feel as high as a kite.

Omg, take it easy now. That sounds so painfull so hope you feel better soon.

Betheebee I really think you're overdue for some better luck, you know. Lots of healing vibes. Morphine's good stuff, isn't it?;)

Went to visit the unit where my interview is next week. Don't think it's really my cup of tea but I shall go for the interview as it's good experience and I haven't had a proper NHS interview for ages.
