Morning All,
Didn't get on yesterday, but sounds like some people are having a difficult time, ((((hugs)))) were needed.
I went to work with DH yesterday and then came home and filled in a job application which was on my mind and needed to be done, it took the best part of four hours but I am pleased with it. So that's been sent and I can stop thinking about it, fingers crossed I get an interview. DD rang to say her mini op ( a mole removed) had gone ok and mum and dad came for tea. It was about 9 o clock before I stopped.
Today should be much quieter. DS2 is off work with a bad back, he pulled something at work yesterday so hopefully a days rest will sort it out.
WM on although it will have to go on the maiden as its been wet here all week.
Just pulled some mince out of the freezer, will turn it into meatballs and chilli shortly.
Managed to do a long walk both Monday and Tuesday despite the rain so will do the same tonight again. I am hoping a combination of healthy eating and exercise will kick start my weight loss.
Anyway enough waffling, have a good day all Julie xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Hi Everyone
Quite mild here today which is nice!
I put the washing on the airer this morning and emptied the DW. Off to my SW class after work so will be in a bit late and will have something quick and easy for dinner.
I am carrying on with my christmas prep - thank you to BUTTERFLY for the really helpful suggestions for my girly hampers! I have made a note of them and will take a look in the shops you recommended.
Other than that, I have a lot of work to do but it should be a NSD with the exception of the SW class which is £5.
Have a good day everyone - my thoughts are with those of you that are struggling with various ailments and issues.

Morning all...
All cleaning downstairs has been done, just got to make the beds, put the washer on and get myself dressed then I'm off up town to pick DS's Freebie Lego up from WHSm!ths also need to look at some TV's whilst up town as ours decided to die yesterday
Picked up a few spice racks from freecycle the other day so I have started Jazzing one of them up with a lick of paint so will finish that at some point today, not alot else happening here today as I really cannot be bothered, think having my mum here for 4 days has took it out of me so going to chill today and just potter around the house.
Not sure what to have for tea tonight, did intend to have pork chops but I forgot to get them out the freezer last night so think it will be pasta and some sort of sauce.
Hope everyone has a lovely day.. (((Hugs))) to those that need them...... xOctober grocery Challenge

Hello everyone,
Thank you for the birthday wishes yesterday BB. I received a card in the mail just with my address on it and inside I found a birthday card from my 17yr old just saying 'from .....' I was very surprised to get this as she hasn't spoken to me since March but I did txt her to say thankyou, obviously no reply though. Still it was lovely to receive it. We didn't have an os tea i'm afraid, we treated ourselves to pizza for the first time in ages and lovely it was too. (Also had it for brekky)
At work again today so a nsd, hm sarnies brought in for lunch and will go to the gym at lunchtime. I suffer with back pain through not having strong core muscles so every night now, I regularly do the 'plank' exercise and the 'superman' to try and strengthen them. The plank is a killer, i'm telling you, thats where you actually feel just how heavy your body is, I think mine is a tonne of concrete!!!!!!!
BM will be on tonight for sarnies tomorrow, something out of the freezer will be used up for tea and thats about it.
Weather is lovely and sunny here today, wish I was at home gardening.
Have a lovely day all and best wishes to those in need again.

Hi all, this is my first time posting here but you seem such a friendly lot
Had a phone call from DD1 last night, she is a 3rd year medical student. She was very stressed out due to work load and it looks like she may have to give up her part time job and we will have to support her from now on. It will be mean that this coming year we will have less coming in (OH has had a pay reduction) and be paying more out, so will have to see where we can pennypinch even more.
Tea tonight is liver and onions for myself and OH and I will be making sausages for 2 children who don't like liver. I'm also going to make a pan of broth which I will have at lunch time this will save me buying expensive gluten free crackers.
Off to Sainsbury's later to get some gluten free cereal and I also heard you can get fishfingers for 50p with MOC so will try to find those.Weight loss 0/2st

((hugs)) molly and all who need them. Glad your date was good flutterby.
Morning all, quite chilly here. I've been planting out swiss chard this morning, how silly that it's mid october and my growing is finally taking off! The pumpkins are still smaller than tennis balls but growing fast, as are the peppers- all two of them :rotfl: but there are lots of flowers coming!
Not much OS today as I did some batch cooking (inc celery soup with 3 week ood celery that was fine!) last night. Going to have a late breakfast soon, then off to a lecture, then work, then the cinema.
It's not cold enough to warrant heating yet, but our bathroom radiator has a mind of it's own. It's not connected to the usual gch and we can't control it, we turned it on at the knobby thing yesterday and now it gets hot for an hour in the am when the water heater is on and an hour in the evening. I must admit that having a warm bathroom is lovely.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -

I saw this, too, taplady - very tempted! The article was quite good as well, even DH thought so and he only ever reads the money and sport pages!
