I am due to move soon and will need a sofa. Most furniture I have from my last flat, but because the sofa was already there (part furnished) I am lacking this.
This may be in the wrong board if so can you direct me to the right one please

The families board is best - this one is for benefits. Try Freecycle or the ads in the local paper.0

I thought you weren't moving for months?Science adjusts its views based on what's observed.
Faith is the denial of observation, so that belief can be preserved.

A few months yet but it would be nice to get everything together, wouldn't it?0 -
Ebay. Picked up a 3 piece suite for 99p. Yes it was dated, looked like something my gran had, but it looked like it was unused.0

Charity shops will sometimes have a furniture division, in the form of a dedicated unit somewhere away from the high street shops. You may need to ask.0

Another vote for ebay
usually about 3000 sofas for sdale at any given time and most don't sell.
Picked up two 3 seat sofas once for £30. They were in perfect nick, non smoking/pet free household, with spare removable, washable covers and loads of cushions.0
