My son was with them last year and had his windscreen repaired. They told him this was counted as a claim.
Normally if it is a chip that needs repairing to prevent further cracking then it should not impact on the NCD. If the window was broken then you would pay via the exsess. This claim business seems to be another dodge that can be utilised even though the incident may not have cost the insurer anything.
When I asked another company why vandlism that also did not cost the company anything would impact on the premium they said that it reflects the risk. Its a bit like being made to pay double for your funeral in case you die.It's not criminal.It's within the rules0 -

There needs to be a continuous/linear record of a persons driving history that can be made available to the Insurance industry. This data protection thing seems to be a bit of a nonsense which I am convinced was mainly designed to protect the guilty in big business. The DVLA will sell our details to anybody who is willing to pay, it seems.It's not criminal.It's within the rules0 -

I find this to be interesting because AXA was on my shortlist because it had been mentioned on the news that AXA had decided not to be involved in referal fees which is one of the money making scams that is costing us all dearly in our increased premiums. Funny how an associated company can be involved in this NCD anomaly that seems to be common place amongst insurers.It's not criminal.It's within the rules0
